The present specification provides a method for connecting an IP multimedia subsystem (IMS)-based service in a terminal. The method for connecting the IMS-based service, includes the steps of: setting a cause value denoting signaling or due to the IMS in an establishment cause field, when a session initiation protocol (SIP)-based message is required to be transmitted on a user plane for connecting the IMS-based service; transmitting a service request message of a non-access stratum (NAS) layer including service type (field) denoting signaling or due to a base station; and transmitting a radio resource control (RRC) connection request message including the set establishment cause field to the base station.

A method and apparatus for changing Discontinuous Reception (DRX) cycle in a wireless communication system is provided. A wireless device configures a short DRX cycle and a long DRX cycle. When a drx-ShortCycle timer expires, it is determined whether a drxInactivityTimer is run or not. Therefore, the wireless device uses one of the short DRX cycle and the long DRX cycle according to the determination. Discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle can be configured flexibly and a CSI report between the UE and the eNB can be complied with accurately.

A method and apparatus for performing backoff in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) identifies a prioritized access, receives a backoff parameter from a network, and determines whether or not to apply the received backoff parameter according to the prioritized access. The prioritized access corresponds to one of emergency access, high priority access, control element/information in media access control (MAC), radio link control (RLC) or packet data convergence protocol (PDCP), data radio bearer (DRB) for voice/video service, signaling radio bearer (SRB) 0, SRB 1, SRB 2, multimedia telephony service (MMTEL)-voice, MMTEL-video, and voice over long-term evolution (VoLTE).

A user equipment (UE) receives an EAB parameter, and receives an EAB parameter modification. The received EAB parameter is invalidated upon receiving the EAB parameter modification. The UE also waits for applying EAB until modified EAB parameter is received, and receives the modified EAB parameter.

Provided is a method for measuring and reporting a channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) in a wireless communication system. The method comprises: transmitting a first measurement report message, which includes at least one first CSI-RS measurement report; determining whether to report at least one second CSI-RS measurement result; and transmitting a second measurement report message, which includes the at least one second CSI-RS measurement result, when the determination is made to report the second CSI-RS measurement result. The determination of whether to report is based on a first CSI-RS trigger list, which is a list of one or more first CSI-RS resources that are related to the at least one first CSI-RS measurement result, and a second CSI-RS trigger list, which is a list of one or more second CSI-RS resources that are related to the at least one second CSI-RS measurement result.

A method and apparatus for transmitting a configuration in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) receives a configuration from a first node, stores the received configuration if a connection failure is detected, and transmits the stored configuration to a second node. The connection failure may be one of a radio link failure (RLF) or a handover failure (HOF). The configuration may include at least one of a discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration and a measurement configuration.

The method comprises acquiring a measurement result, activating or inactivating positioning for acquiring location information, and transmitting a measurement report message via a network. The method further comprises acquiring location information related to the measurement result when the positioning is activated. The measurement report message includes the measurement result and the location information. The measurement report message includes the measurement result when the positioning is not activated.
