Abstract: A method for performing remote tissue assessment of a tissue region includes selecting imaging parameters, obtaining M image datasets of the tissue region when the tissue region is illuminated by a light signal having a unique discrete wavelength, obtaining a reference image dataset of the tissue region without illumination, processing the M+1 image datasets to obtain M marker maps where each marker map corresponds to a different physiological marker, and analyzing at least one of the marker maps to determine whether a physiological condition exists at the tissue region or to monitor the status of an existing physiological condition at the tissue region. In one or more embodiments, the method may be performed by a portable light source unit including a housing configured for use with a mobile device having a camera, or by a system including a light source unit, an optical sensor module, and a mobile device.

Abstract: A system and method for content aware monitoring of an output of a media channel by a media system is provided herein. In at least one embodiment, the method comprises: receiving a media assertion schedule comprising a schedule of assertion checks which allow validating that the output of the media channel, by the media system, is synchronized with an expected media channel output; receiving, from a signature generating module, at least one observed signature file; determining that the timestamp data, in each of the at least one received observed signature file, aligns with at least one timecode included in an assertion check in the media assertion schedule; identifying an assertion condition included in the assertion check; and validating the assertion condition using the observed media frame signatures included in each of the at least one received observed signature file.

Abstract: A sliding sash assembly for use as a door or window includes: (a) a frame defining a frame opening; (b) a pair of sashes mounted in the frame opening and slidable relative to each other along an opening axis between a closed position and an open position; and (c) at least one stop device including a housing and a pair of depressible stop members movably mounted in the housing. The stop members are spaced apart from each other along the opening axis. Each stop member is selectively movable independent of the other stop member between a retracted position in which the stop member is retracted into the housing and an advanced position in which the stop member projects from the housing for engagement with one of the sashes to restrict movement of the sashes relative to each other toward the open position.

Abstract: At least one method and container are described for maintaining a target temperature within the container. The container generally includes a vacuum insulated body; a lid couplable to the vacuum insulated body; a heatsink, coupled to the lid, wherein a portion of the heatsink is positionable within the vacuum insulated body; and at least one thermoelectric cell coupled to the heatsink, wherein the at least one thermoelectric cell is operated to promote the transfer of heat between the inside of the container and the outside of the container to cool the inside of the container or to warm the inside of the container. The container may be arranged so that internal and external portions of the heatsink may be arranged in a decoupled position to reduce heat transfer therebetween.

The additive can include: a polysaccharide; an organic filler; one or more of a monosaccharide, a disaccharide and an oligosaccharide; a surfactant; and/or an inorganic filler. The carrier polymer can include a non-biodegradable polymer. Biodegradable plastic compositions and methods of preparing a biodegradable plastic material are also disclosed.
