Abstract:
Example embodiments relate to a semiconductor device. The semiconductor device may include a first semiconductor chip including a semiconductor substrate, a first through via that penetrates the semiconductor substrate, a second semiconductor chip stacked on one plane of the first semiconductor chip, and a shielding layer covering at least one portion of the first and/or second semiconductor chip and electrically connected to the first through via.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a cylindrical secondary battery including a cap assembly constructed in a structure in which a vent, which intercepts electric current and discharges pressurized gas when the interior pressure of the battery is increased due to abnormal operation of the battery, is in contact with a top cap having a protruding central part, wherein the end of the vent is bent to surround the outer circumferential surface of the top cap, and a groove for preventing the leakage of an electrolyte and preventing the occurrence of defectiveness of the battery during the assembly of the battery is formed at interfaces between the vent and the top cap such that the groove is arranged in parallel with the outer circumferential surface of the top cap. The secondary battery according to the present invention has the effect of accomplishing high charging and discharging rate, providing uniform output even when external physical impacts, such as vibration or dropping, are applied to the secondary battery, and preventing the occurrence of defectiveness during the assembly of the secondary battery. Furthermore, the leakage of the electrolyte out of the battery is restrained under these conditions. Consequently, the secondary battery according to the present invention can be preferably used as a high-output power source.
Abstract:
Provided is a voltage sensitive dye represented by Formula 7. Through connection of an electron donor with an electron acceptor by a triple bond, the voltage sensitive dye has a lower free rotation rate in molecular structures of the electron donor and the electron acceptor (e.g., photoisomerization), and thus fluorescence efficiency and voltage sensitivity to external electron stimulation can be improved.
Abstract:
Provided are a voltage boosting circuit and a display device including the same. The voltage boosting circuit includes a booster input voltage generator configured to receive a power supply voltage, operate with a first current drive capability, and generate a booster input voltage in a switched mode in which the voltage boosting circuit switches from a standby mode to an operation mode, and configured to receive the power supply voltage, operate with a second current drive capability higher than the first current drive capability, and generate the booster input voltage in the operation mode, and a booster configured to receive the booster input voltage and generate a boost voltage.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for supporting Peer to Peer (P2P) communication in a broadband wireless communication system are provided. A P2P zone within a frame used for the P2P communication includes at least one channel, each channel includes a broadcasting zone and a contention zone, and a P2P-mode transmit Mobile Station (MS) transmits a reference signal through a broadcasting zone of a channel to which itself belongs. The method MS includes determining an interference sum for each channel within the P2P zone, comparing the determined interference sums with each other, selecting a channel having the least interference sum, and transmitting information regarding the selected channel to a Base Station (BS).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device and method for managing metadata. A principal object of the present invention is to provide a device and method for managing metadata by which only key metadata can be selected and provided in accordance with their priorities upon playback of audio content by defining attributes of key metadata according to characteristics of the audio content. To achieve this object of the present invention, there is provided a method of managing metadata, comprising the steps of assigning priorities to attributes of key metadata according to characteristics of audio contents, reading the metadata for a specific audio content, extracting the attributes of respective metadata from the read metadata, classifying the extracted metadata attributes according to the assigned priorities and setting their priorities, and displaying the metadata for the audio content according to the set priorities. According to the present invention, there is an advantage in that major information on respective audio content can be efficiently provided to a user based on the metadata that are classified and selected according to the respective audio content.
Abstract:
Provided is a bit line bridge detection method for selectively floating even-numbered or odd-numbered bit lines. The bit line bridge detection method simultaneously activates even-numbered sense amplifiers and odd-numbered sense amplifiers in response to a sense amplifier enable signal. The even-numbered sense amplifiers and the odd-numbered sense amplifiers are selectively disabled in response to a sense amplifier disable signal generated at a predetermined time after the sense amplifier enable signal is generated, and an even-numbered or odd-numbered sense amplifier selection signal which is stored in a mode register. As a result, the even-numbered bit lines and the odd-numbered bit lines are selectively floated. If data input to memory cells is inverted, a bit line bridge is detected.
