    Abstract: Compositions and methods related to transgenic high oleic acid/ALS inhibitor-tolerant soybean plants are provided. Specifically, the present invention provides soybean plants having a DP-305423-1 event which imparts a high oleic acid phenotype and tolerance to at least one ALS-inhibiting herbicide. The soybean plant harboring the DP-305423-1 event comprises genomic/transgene junctions having at least the polynucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:8, 9, 14, 15, 20, 21, 83 or 84. The characterization of the genomic insertion site of the DP-305423-1 event provides for an enhanced breeding efficiency and enables the use of molecular markers to track the transgene insert in the breeding populations and progeny thereof. Various methods and compositions for the identification, detection, and use of the soybean DP-305423-1 events are provided.

    Abstract: A device for delivering fuel has a fuel delivery unit placed inside a fuel tank and which consists of a swirl pot with a fuel pump situated therein for delivering fuel out via a flow line to an internal combustion engine, and with a ventilation system located inside the fuel tank and serves to withdraw fuel vapors from the fuel tank. This ventilation system consists of ventilation lines and a liquid trap for precipitating fuel. The ventilation lines are arranged with one end in the upper area of the fuel tank, and, with the other end, lead into the liquid trap. An activated charcoal filter located downstream from the liquid trap has a connection to the atmosphere. The liquid trap and the activated charcoal filter are situated next and at the height of the swirl pot. At least the liquid trap is mechanically connected to the swirl pot.

    Abstract: The invention relates to high-level production of pHBA in green plants using a unique expression cassette. The latter comprises a chorismate pyruvate lyase (CPL) coding sequence operably linked to a suitable promoter capable of driving protein expression in higher plants. Additionally, the CPL cassette comprises a sequence encoding a chloroplast transit peptide, its natural cleavage site, and a small portion of the transit peptide donor protein fused to the N-terminus of CPL. The chloroplast targeting sequence targets the foreign protein to the chloroplast compartment and aids in its uptake into the organelle. The cleavage site is unique to the transit peptide, and cleavage of the chimeric protein encoded by the cassette at this site releases a novel polypeptide that has full enzyme activity, comprising the mature CPL enzyme and a small portion of the transit peptide donor.
