    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatus, systems, computing devices, and computing entities for displaying content found in technical documentation for an item via an IETM viewer. In accordance with one embodiment, a method is provided comprising: providing a window for display via the IETM viewer, the window displaying the content found in the technical documentation; receiving a focus of a first portion of the content received based at least in part on the user performing a first action; and in response, causing the first portion to be conveyed using a first enhancing format; and thereafter: receiving a focus of a second portion of the content received based at least in part on the user performing a second action; and in response: causing the first portion to no longer be conveyed using the first enhancing format; and causing the second portion to be conveyed using a second enhancing format.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatus, systems, computer program products for providing an electrical schematic associated with wiring data found in technical documentation for an item via an interactive electronic technical manual system (IETM) configured to provide electronic and credentialed access to the technical documentation via an IETM viewer. In one embodiment, a method is provided comprising: providing a window comprising the electrical schematic in which a plurality of wires and a plurality of components shown in the electrical schematic are selectable; receiving selection of a wire; responsive to receiving the selection: generating a diagram comprising the wire and a plurality of terminal ends for the wire; and providing a wire window for display via the IETM viewer comprising a first view pane displaying the diagram and a second view pane in which each portion of the wire between two terminals ends is selectable.

In one embodiment, a method is provided comprising: providing a window comprising (1) textual information from and/or an illustration related to the data and (2) a selection mechanism; receiving a first type or a second type of selection of the mechanism; responsive to receiving the first type of selection, generating a data source window comprising a relevant section of the data source that relates to the textual information and/or the illustration; responsive to receiving the second type of selection, generating the data source window comprising the data source; and providing the data source window for display via the IETM viewer.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatus, systems, computer program products for displaying parts via one or more windows of an interactive electronic technical manual system (IETM) configured to provide electronic and credentialed access via an IETM viewer to technical documentation for an item. In one embodiment, a method is provided comprising: receiving selection of a topic; responsive to receiving the selection, retrieving textual information for the topic; for each part on a list of parts: searching the information to identify occurrences of the part, and configuring each occurrence as selectable; providing a topic window for display with the identified occurrences of each part as selectable; receiving a selection of a particular occurrence of a part; and responsive to receiving the selection: retrieving information on the part, generating a preview window for the part comprising the information, and providing the preview window for display via the IETM viewer.

In one embodiment, a method is provided comprising: providing a window comprising a first view pane displaying a list of parts used for a component of the item and a second view pane displaying a 3D graphic of the component; receiving selection of a part of the component displayed in the 3D graphic using a first selection mechanism; responsive to receiving the selection: causing the part in the list of parts to be displayed as highlighted on the first view pane; and causing the part in the 3D graphic to be displayed as highlighted on the second view pane using a first highlighting format.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure involve providing an augmented reality environment to a user interacting with technical data associated with a powered asset. In various embodiments, a digital model of the powered asset is displayed via an augmented reality user interface that displays the model superimposed over the user's line of vision to simulate the augmented reality environment. Input is received from the user selecting a topic of a component of the model that comprises instructions for performing a task related to the component. Responsive to receiving the input, the instructions are displayed on the interface and the instructions identify a tool used in performing the task. Responsive to the user moving her line of vision to view a non-powered asset in which the tool is located, a visual representation of the tool is displayed on the interface superimposed over the non-powered asset viewable in the user's line of vision.
