摘要: A patient monitoring system includes at least two wireless sensing devices, each configured to measure a different physiological parameter from a patient and wirelessly transmit a parameter dataset. The system further includes a receiver that receives each parameter dataset, a processor, and a monitoring regulation module executable on the processor to assign one of the at least two wireless sensing devices as a dominant wireless sensing device and at least one of the remaining wireless sensing devices as a subordinate wireless sensing device. The physiological parameter measured by the dominant wireless sensing device is a key parameter and the parameter dataset transmitted by the dominant wireless sensing device is a key parameter dataset. The key parameter dataset from the dominant wireless sensing device is processed to determine a stability indicator. The subordinate wireless sensing device is then operated based on the stability indicator for the key parameter.

摘要: The present application discloses a system for monitoring blood pressure. The system comprises a blood pressure cuff including a connector having an identifier associated with a blood pressure cuff size and a blood pressure measurement device comprising an emitter and a detector, the detector operatively connected to a processor. When the blood pressure cuff connector is mated with the measurement device, the emitter is positioned to direct radiation at the identifier and the detector is positioned to receive radiation from the identifier and generate a signal. The processor then determines the blood pressure cuff size based on the signal received from the detector.

摘要: A non-invasive blood pressure monitoring device includes an inflatable blood pressure cuff, a pump device for pressurizing the cuff, a pressure sensor to monitor blood pressure as physiological parameter, and an electrically actuated, normally-open solenoid valve configured to maintain a cuff pressure. A control unit configured to regulate a valve hold value for holding the normally-open solenoid valve at a desired closed position, wherein the valve hold value is at least one of a voltage value and a current value for controlling actuation of the normally-open solenoid valve. At least one inertial sensor configured to detect and transmit motion signals representative of external motions applied to the portable medical device, wherein the control unit is configured to regulate the valve hold value as a function of the motion signals of the at least one inertial sensor to maintain the normally-open solenoid valve in the closed position.

摘要: A method for managing wireless devices in a wireless medical body area network, MBAN, comprises configuring the wireless MBAN based on all wireless devices of the MBAN comprising at least one sensor and at least one hub, by sharing identification data, battery status, and communication performance between wireless devices of the wireless MBAN; providing a plurality of the wireless devices with at least short range communication and long range communication; and configuring a first wireless device of the wireless MBAN as a master depending on battery status and communication performance. Thereafter, the method comprises configuring a second wireless device of the wireless MBAN as a new master if the battery status and communication performance of the master drops below that of the second wireless device; and routing data transfer within the wireless MBAN depending on the battery status and communication performance of the wireless devices of the wireless MBAN.

Each capacitive patient connector capacitively couples a respective receiving port of the data acquisition device and the patient.
