    摘要: A process is disclosed for preparing mixtures of low molecular weight polyhydroxyl compounds and optionally hydroxyaldehydes and ketones by condensing formaldehyde hydrate with itself in the presence of(A) soluble or insoluble lead(II) salts or of divalent lead attached to a high molecular weight carrier; and(B) a co-catalyst, comprising a mixture of hydroxyaldehydes and hydroxyketones obtainable by condensation of formaldehyde, which mixture contains at least 75%, by weight, of C.sub.3 to C.sub.6 compounds and is characterized by the following molar ratios:Compounds having 3 carbon atoms/compounds having 4 carbon atoms from 0.5:1 to 2.0:1;Compounds having 4 carbon atoms/compounds having 5 carbon atoms from 0.2:1 to 2.0:1;Compounds having 5 carbon atoms/compounds having 6 carbon atoms from 0.5:1 to 5.0:1.The pH of the reaction mixture is held at from 6.0 to 7.0 until from 10 to 60% conversion has occurred and is then lowered to between 4.0 to 6.0 until 90-100% conversion has occurred. The reaction is then stopped by inactivating the catalyst.

    摘要: The present disclosure is concerned with a novel transparent polyurethane polyurea which is particularly suitable for lamination to glass and glasslike transparent plastics. The polymer is the reaction product of high molecular weight diols, optionally low molecular weight diols, dihydroxy carboxylic acids, diisocyanates with only aliphatically and cycloaliphatically bound isocyanates and organic diamines having aliphatically and cycloaliphatically bound primary amino groups. It has specified contents of carboxyl groups and urea groups, and it has a minimum shear modulus at both 20.degree. and 60.degree. C.The present disclosure is also concerned with a process for synthesizing such polymers. A preferred method is to react the diisocyanate and hydroxyl bearing compounds to prepare an isocyanate terminated prepolymer and chain extend with the diamine.Also discussed are the production of film from these polymers by extrusion and solution casting, the production of laminates with glass and glasslike plastics and the laminates so produced. The solution cast or extruded films can be laminated to these substrates by the application of heat and pressure.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a process for the preparation of isocyanurate group-containing polyisocyanates by trimerizing a portion of the isocyanate groups of an organic polyisocyanate and terminating the trimerization reaction by the addition of a catalyst poison, characterized in that the trimerization catalyst used is a quaternary phosphonium salt of a tertiary phosphine and an alkylating ester of an acid of phosphorus. The present invention also relates to the use of the polyisocyanates obtained according to this process, optionally, in a form that has been freed from excess starting polyisoyanate and/or optionally blocked with blocking agents for isocyanate groups as the isocyanate component for the preparation of polyisocyanate polyaddition products, preferably polyurethanes.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of alkoxylation products of organic carboxylic acids containing alcoholic hydroxyl groups by the reaction of any organic compounds containing at least one carboxyl group with alkylene oxides in an alkoxylation reaction in the presence of catalysts, characterized in that the catalysts used are phase transfer catalysts selected from the group consisting of(a) tetraalkylammonium or tetraalkylphosphonium halides in which the sum of carbon atoms of the alkyl groups is at least 8,(b) basic alkali metal compounds converted into complexes with crown ethers and(c) complexes of (i) basic alkali metal compounds and (ii) acyclic organic compounds containing at least 5 alkylene oxide units of the formula --R--O-- (R=C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylene) in the form of one or more polyether chains having at least 3 alkylene oxide units, said compounds having a molecular weight of at least 238 and containing a total of at least 40% by weight of alkylene oxide units of the type indicated in polyether chains having at least 3 alkylene oxide units.The present invention also relates to the use of these alkoxylation products for the production of polyurethanes by reaction with organic polyisocyanates.

    摘要: The present invention relates to substantially colorless organic polyisocyanates, optionally in solution in an inert solvent, having a Hazen color index according to DIN 53 409 of at most 60 and a yellow value according to DIN 6167 of at most 3.0, characterized by a content of about 0.01 to 1 ppm (by weight), based on polyisocyanate, of an organic dye soluble in the polyisocyanate and having an absorption maximum of about 560 to 590 nm or a mixture of such dyes.The present invention also relates to two processes for preparing the substantially colorless organic polyisocyanates. In the first process, the organic dye is added to the prepared polyisocyanate while in the second process the organic dye is added to the starting materials used to prepare the polyisocyanate. Finally, the present invention is directed to the production of polyisocyanate polyaddition products from the substantially colorless organic polyisocyanates and isocyanate-reactive compounds.
