A method and an apparatus for determining mutual time difference between base station signals in an asynchronous code division multiplexing access (CDMA) system. The method comprises the steps of: measuring mutual time difference of signals transmitted between at least two base stations; determining all possible paths between said at least two base stations; and providing weights to the measured mutual time difference for said all possible paths. The apparatus comprises: a location measurement unit for measuring mutual time difference of signals transmitted between at least two base stations; a mobile user location center for receiving the mutual time difference of the signals measured by the location measurement unit, determining all possible paths between said at least two base stations, and providing weights to the measured mutual time difference for said all possible paths. The method and apparatus can determine a mutual time difference of signals transmitted from base stations even when the signals are blocked by a certain object and can improve the determination accuracy of the mutual time difference of base station signals.

The present invention relates to a method of reducing a band mark on an electroplating steel sheet, which can also reduce plating defects and damages to the materials caused by the differences in the physical characteristics of composition materials of a conductor roll used during electroplating Zn or Ni onto a steel sheet. In other words, the present invention comprises ceramic coating portions of circular bands, placed respectively in a thin strip at the both edge regions of the metal band position at the central portion of a conductor roll. In this manner, the present invention has the effects of reducing a band mark on a plating steel sheet, and also suppressing the generation of static electricity by eliminating the level difference between the conductive material (metal band portion) and the non-conductive material (rubber section). The present invention is also cabaple extending the life of a conductor roll by enhancing the wear and corrosion resistances thereof.

The present invention relates to a process of preparing a continuous filament composed of a nano fiber, wherein nano fibers are prepared by spinning a polymer spinning dope in a spinning dope main tank (20) onto the surface of water or organic solvent (4a) of a collector (4), which contains water or inorganic solvent (4a) and has a conductive material (5) with a high voltage applied sunken in the water or organic solvent (4a), through nozzles (2) with a high voltage applied, and the nano fibers are pressed, drawn, dried and wound while being pulled by a rotary roller (6) rotating at a constant linear velocity from the location spaced more than 1 cm from one end of a dropping spot. The present invention can prepare a continuous filament composed of a nano fiber by an electrospinning method and a continuous process.

A portable computer having two peripheral bays conforming to integrated drive electronics standard interface. A peripheral in one bay is always recognized as a master device and not a slave device. A peripheral in the other bay is recognized as a slave only when the first bay is occupied by a peripheral. This way, the situation never arises where there is a slave device without a master peripheral device. The bays may reside in the portable computer main body or in a docking station. A circuit can sense the presence or the absence of peripherals in the bays to thus prevent the situation of a slave peripheral being present when there is no master device.

A computer system equipped with a LAN signal processing part and a modem signal processing part comprises: a common connector to which an external LAN connector to be connected to the LAN signal processing part and an external modem connector to be connected to the modem signal processing part are selectively connected; a connector detector provided at the common connector for detecting which of the external LAN connector and the external modem connector is connected to the common connector; and a control part for controlling a predetermined signal to be transmitted to one of the LAN signal processing part and the modem signal processing part in correspondence to the external connector detected by the connector detector. With this configuration, the cost of production decreases, and space for an installation of hardware components is more plentiful.
