An extruder includes a material feeding device feeding into a radial pump unit. The radial pump unit includes conical screws which are adjacently positioned and rotate in the same direction. The radial pump unit transfers an annular flow of the material into the extruder's nozzle. Additional material can be supplied into the product through the radial pump unit.

The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for cooling an extruded hollow product. According to the invention, the extruder (1) is provided with means for sucking air through the pipe (2). The air to be sucked is thus in contact with the inner surface of the pipe (2), cooling the pipe from the inside. Therefore the cooling of the pipe (2) can be realized in an efficient and simple manner. By arranging the sucking to occur from the middle of the conical extruder (1), no weld line will be formed in the extruded product, and the extruder (1) can be cooled effectively from the inside. According to the invention, the heat contained by the air that has been sucked through the pipe (2) can also be utilized.

An extruded multilayer plastic pipe is provided. The pipe comprises an inner layer, an outer layer and an intermediate layer. Each of the inner and outer layers is comprised of a thermoplastic material. The intermediate layer consists essentially of a lower density material than said inner and outer layers, and the intermediate layer is situated between and abuts both the inner layer and the outer layer. At least one of the inner, outer and intermediate layers consists of reinforced solid or foamed reprocessed plastic.

An extruder having at least one conical stator and at least one rotatable conical rotor. The rotor is mounted from its widest point with first and second bearings in such a way that the first bearing receives the forces acting in one axial direction of the rotor and the second bearing receives the forces acting in an opposite axial direction of the rotor. A method for using the extruder involves feeding a material to the extruder between the rotor and stator and rotating the rotor to cause the extruder to extrude the material.

A method for making a product to be extruded and an extruder. The extruder has at least two conical stators and at least one conical rotor placed rotatably between the stators. The extruder further has supply conduits for feeding the material to be extruded separately into the exterior and interior of the rotor. Each supply conduit is provided with a separately adjustable feeding device by means of which the amount of material flow to be supplied can be adjusted. The degree to which the space between the rotor and the stator is filled and the amount of the heat generated by friction can be regulated. Further, the ratio of the material flows in the different supply conduits determines the ratio of the thickness of the layers obtained. The method and extruder according to the invention make it possible to regulate the properties of a final product easily and in several different ways.

A method for producing a homogeneous material with an extruder is provided. The extruder has at least two annular conical feed gaps situated between a rotatable rotor and a stator so that the material to be extruded is supplied between the rotor and the stator. Between the delivery point of the material to be extruded and the nozzle of the extruder in the direction of travel of the material the at least one rotor or stator of the extruder is provided with openings passing therethrough so that at least some of the material to be extruded is made to flow through the openings from one annular conical feed gap to another annular conical feed gap. The invention also relates to an extruder and to a multilayer plastic pipe.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of and a device for simultaneously generating heat energy and oscillation energy. In the method heat is generated by induction heating and oscillations are created by means of at least piezoelectric elements. Previously a resonance circuit formed by a series connection of an inductive component and a capacitive, piezoelectric component has been used for the generation of oscillations only. A disadvantage of this kind of circuit has been that the circuit is difficult to control on account of the narrow resonance region of the piezoelectric element. This advantage is avoided in the solution according to the invention in such manner that one and the same resonance circuit formed by a series connection of an inductive and capacitive element generates both heat energy and oscillation energy.

A procedure for controlling the imprint in reproductive printing. With a view to providing a versatile printing control system, and one which eliminates the maximum of errors, the invention is mainly characterized in that by means of an optical system is formed an image signal consistent with the imprint and which is compared with a set-point image signal produced in one way or another, from the result of comparison thus obtained being formed an electrical differential signal, which according to the feedback principle controls the formation of the imprint of each object under examination.

A transverse stretching device comprises two stretching wheels and endless bands arranged against them and revolving around band guide rolls so that a plastic film to be stretched is arranged at its both edges between a stretching wheel and a band. The stretching wheels and the bands are arranged in such a way that in the direction of travel of the plastic film they are further apart from each other at the end than in the beginning, whereby the transverse stretching device stretches the plastic film in the transverse direction. The stretching wheels are rims open in the center and the device includes heating means arranged through the rims at least at some angle between the stretching wheels.
