    Abstract: An extruder includes a material feeding device feeding into a radial pump unit. The radial pump unit includes conical screws which are adjacently positioned and rotate in the same direction. The radial pump unit transfers an annular flow of the material into the extruder's nozzle. Additional material can be supplied into the product through the radial pump unit.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for cooling an extruded hollow product. According to the invention, the extruder (1) is provided with means for sucking air through the pipe (2). The air to be sucked is thus in contact with the inner surface of the pipe (2), cooling the pipe from the inside. Therefore the cooling of the pipe (2) can be realized in an efficient and simple manner. By arranging the sucking to occur from the middle of the conical extruder (1), no weld line will be formed in the extruded product, and the extruder (1) can be cooled effectively from the inside. According to the invention, the heat contained by the air that has been sucked through the pipe (2) can also be utilized.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method of and a device for simultaneously generating heat energy and oscillation energy. In the method heat is generated by induction heating and oscillations are created by means of at least piezoelectric elements. Previously a resonance circuit formed by a series connection of an inductive component and a capacitive, piezoelectric component has been used for the generation of oscillations only. A disadvantage of this kind of circuit has been that the circuit is difficult to control on account of the narrow resonance region of the piezoelectric element. This advantage is avoided in the solution according to the invention in such manner that one and the same resonance circuit formed by a series connection of an inductive and capacitive element generates both heat energy and oscillation energy.

    Abstract: A transverse stretching device comprises two stretching wheels and endless bands arranged against them and revolving around band guide rolls so that a plastic film to be stretched is arranged at its both edges between a stretching wheel and a band. The stretching wheels and the bands are arranged in such a way that in the direction of travel of the plastic film they are further apart from each other at the end than in the beginning, whereby the transverse stretching device stretches the plastic film in the transverse direction.
