    摘要: The lower end of a filler tube is attached to a service hole formed on a cylinder block in a horizontally opposed engine on a rear side of the engine, e.g., on side opposite from which an output shaft projects. The filler tube is provided with an elbow at the lower end thereof, and the elbow is integrally formed with a hole cover. When one end of the elbow is inserted into the service hole and the hole cover is fixed to the cylinder block, the connection of the filler tube and closing of the service hole can be simultaneously accomplished. The filler tube extends upward and a cap is attached on the filler port at the upper end facing toward the vicinity of the lid provided on the cowl 20. The lid 21 is not deformed locally, and forms a curved surface continuing from remaining portion of the cowl 20.

    摘要: A multi-phase brushless motor including a stator having a plurality of drive coils each corresponding to a specific phase and a rotor having a plurality of field magnet poles of successively alternating polarity. The stator further has a plurality of Hall generators for detecting the positions of the rotor and a speed sensor for detecting the rotational speed of the rotor. The brushless motor is driven by a drive circuit which supplies drive currents to the drive coils of the stator so as to generate torques. The drive circuit is operated under control of a control circuit which comprises a first processing circuit responsive to position signals from the Hall generators to output exciting signals to the drive circuit so that the drive circuit supplies the drive currents to the drive coils thereof and a second processing circuit responsive to the speed signal from the speed sensor and the position signal to output exciting signals to the drive circuit which in turn supplies the drive currents thereto. The first and second processing circuits are selectively operated such that the first processing circuit outputs the exciting signals to the drive circuit at startup of the motor and the second processing circuit outputs the exciting signals thereto after the startup.

    摘要: A two wheel vehicle comprising a vehicle body having a front wheel and a rear wheel with an internal combustion engine mounted on the mid portion of the frame is provided. The engine is provided with a supercharger having an exhaust turbine provided on an exhaust passage side thereof and a compressor provided on an intake passage side thereof and arranged to move with the turbine. The supercharger is positioned in a space defined by the engine and a supporting frame which supports the engine and is interposed between the engine and the front wheel. The defined space is remote from the driver so that the driver is not affected by the supercharger. The supercharger may be mounted on the supporting frame so that it is protected against external frontal or lateral forces.

    摘要: To simplify a coolant piping around an engine in an engine cooling structure, which has a pump mounted on a crankcase for circulating a coolant between cylinder and head jackets. A crankcase has coolant supply passages for guiding a coolant from a pump and coolant return passages for guiding a coolant delivered out of cylinder jackets. The coolant supply passages and the coolant return passages extend substantially parallel to the axis of a crankshaft. The cylinder jackets and head jackets are formed wherein the coolant supplied from the coolant supply passages returns from the cylinder jackets via the head jackets to the cylinder jackets.
