Abstract:
A process for the production of polyurethane foams by reacting a reaction mixture consisting essentially ofa) a polyisocyanate component, withb) a polyol component free from salt groups, in the presence ofc) at least one blowing agent,d) salts of ester-functional .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acids and, optionally,e) other auxiliaries and additives typically used in polyurethane chemistry.Component d) the salts of ester-functional .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acids are the reaction products of (i) monohydric or polyhydric alcohols, with (ii) unsaturated dicarboxylic acids or unsaturated dicarboxylic anhydrides, which contain on a statistical average at least one alkali metal carboxylate group and at most 0.5 alcoholic hydroxyl groups per molecule. The present invention also relates to the composites produced by back-foaming of a plastic film as a surface layer wherein the foam is produced by the process described above.
Abstract:
The invention relates to expandable polyurethane powder preparations containing blowing agents and to their use for the production of foamed polyurethane moldings.
Abstract:
A dishwasher includes a washing tub, a latch keeper disposed on the washing tub and mounted on a push rod, and a pivotable door configured to close the washing tub. The door includes a latching mechanism configured to engage the latch keeper in accordance with a closing of the door. An actuator is configured to move the push rod in an opening direction so as to open the door to an ajar position. A return device is configured to return the latch keeper in a direction opposite to the opening direction approximately at least to an initial position upon a further opening of the door.
Abstract:
The invention relates to high-temperature-resistant foams having low thermal conductivity, to the production thereof from organic polyisocyanates and polyepoxides, and to the use of the foams.
Abstract:
A water-using household appliance includes a treatment chamber, a water softener for wash or rinse water, a regenerating device associated with the water softener and configured to contain a supply of brine, and a storage container disposed in a thermally conductive relationship with the treatment chamber. The storage container includes a liquor volume, a regeneration volume for producing the brine supply, and a first outlet operable for substantially emptying the storage container.
Abstract:
The solar module according to the invention consists of a transparent adhesive layer (1), in which the solar cells (3) that are interconnected by cell connectors (2) are embedded. A transparent, UV stable, thin front layer (4), composed for example of a thin pane of glass, is located above said adhesive layer. The supporting sandwich element (5), consisting of a nucleic layer (6) and glass fibre layers (7) bonded by means of polyurethane is located on the rear face. Fastening elements (8) and an electric socket (9) are integrated into the supporting sandwich element. A barrier film (10), which prevents the entry of water and oxygen, adjoins the sandwich element. The solar module has peripheral edge protection (11) consisting of elastomeric polyurethane, which prevents the lateral penetration of water, dirt and oxygen. The invention also relates to a method for producing the solar module.
Abstract:
A suction hose for vacuum cleaner includes a tubular inner part, a jacket part and a locking device. The inner part is variable in length and includes a hose wall having a coil spring integrated therein, the coil spring being configured to automatically return the inner part from an extended position to a shortened position. The jacket part is configured to completely receive the inner part when the inner part is in the shortened position, the jacket part including a tubular shape. The locking device is configured to fix the inner part, in the shortened position, in the jacket part. The locking device includes a tubular member configured to surround the inner part, the tubular member including a first part of a first snap-fit device configured to cooperate with the jacket part so as to connect the tubular member and the jacket part.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to composite elements constructed from an outer layer (i), a fiber-reinforced polyurethane (PU) material which contains in-mold release additives as a supporting layer (ii), and optionally, a decorative inner layer (iii). This invention also relates to suitable processes for the production of these composite elements and to body components comprising these composite elements.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to plastic moldings that are prepared from optionally filled polyurethanes. The plastic molding of the present invention exhibit high tenacity, flexural strength and heat stability. This invention also relates to a process for the preparation of these plastic moldings and specifically to a process for the production of large parts comprising these plastic moldings.
