Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition comprising a first component containing at least one polyol, and a second component containing at least one polyisocyanate, the composition further comprising at least one aldimine of formula (I). The composition exhibits a long open time and fast curing without odor immissions, wherein a bubble-free, elastic material having a non-tacky surface and good strength, extensibility, elasticity and resistance is produced, which does not tend to problems arising with plasticizer migration.

Abstract: A coating composition including at least one water-based anionic polyurethane dispersion and 0.1 to 4 weight-% of nanoparticulate TiO2 having an average particle size of not more than 100 nm, based on the solids content of the coating composition. The cured coating composition is suitable as a top coat in a decorative multilayer coating system including at least one polyurethane base coat. The multilayer coating system exhibits improved non-yellowing property and cleanability. The liquid multilayer coating system is particularly suitable for balcony applications.

Abstract: A composition, comprising at least one silane-group-containing polymer that is liquid at room temperature, at least one epoxide liquid resin, and at least one aliphatic polyamine having a molecular weight of at least 115 g/mol and having at least three amine hydrogens reactive toward epoxide groups, as a sealing film applied in liquid form. The sealing film applied in liquid form is isocyanate-free, low-odor, and easy to process because of the low viscosity and the long open time. Said sealing film cures quickly and forms a high-quality elastic material having good mechanical properties and good weather resistance.

Abstract: A two-component composition, containing at least one silane-group-containing polymer that is liquid at room temperature, at least one epoxide liquid resin, at least one polyetheramine, and at least one aminosilane or mercaptosilane. The composition has low odor, cures quickly and without blistering at room temperature, and, when cured, forms a tough elastic material of high strength, high adhesive force, and good thermal resistance that has no tendency toward yellowing or substrate discoloration. The composition is excellently suitable as a tough elastic adhesive for structural adhesive joints in the field of construction and in industrial production.

Abstract: An amine of formula (I) which is particularly suitable for use as a curing agent for epoxy resins. The amine of formula (I) is devoid of non-incorporable toxic phenols, and is low-viscosity and pale in color. It allows the production of easily-workable, low-emission or emission-free epoxy resin products which cure rapidly even at relatively low ambient temperatures thus obtaining a high degree of hardness and a nice surface with hardly any yellowing. This is particularly suited to use in floor or top coatings.

Abstract: A one-part moisture-curing liquid-applied waterproofing membrane as disclosed includes a polyurethane polymer obtained from at least one polyether polyol and at least one diisocyanate, and an aldimine of the formula (I). The membrane has a long shelf life stability with both aromatic and aliphatic isocyanates, a low viscosity at low solvent content, a sufficiently long open time to allow hand application and cures fast to a solid elastic material of high strength and high elongation. The released aldehyde is non-toxic and low flammable and evaporates quickly out of the membrane causing only minimal odor emission. The membrane has high crack-bridging qualities in a broad temperature range and is easily overcoatable without interlayer adhesion problems, which makes it particularly suitable for roofing applications.

Abstract: A silane of the formula (I) containing at least one aliphatic amidine group- or guanidine group-containing alkoxy group, to a method for producing same, to conversion products thereof, and to the use thereof as a catalyst in curable compositions, in particular based on silane group-containing polymers. The silane of the formula (I) is largely odorless and non-volatile at room temperature. The silane accelerates the hydrolysis and condensation reaction of silane groups very effectively without impairing the storage stability of silane group-containing polymers. Additionally, the silane is very tolerable in silane group-containing compositions, whereby such compositions are not prone to separate, migrate, or evaporate the catalyst.
