摘要: The invention provides for automatic deployment, logging, and reporting of online course evaluations based on processing and access schedules and user access designations established by administrators at the time the evaluation survey is generated. Evaluation reports are automatically delayed until student final grades are submitted. Report notifications are sent via email to appropriate faculty and administration including a link or an encrypted link to access the reports.

摘要: The control apparatus and vehicle of the invention for controlling a broom and blower system attached to the vehicle typically includes several modules (which may be software, hardware, or a combination of these) which interact to process command inputs. Thus, broom state, broom height, and broom direction command modules are all logically connected to a command input module. Similarly, blower state (blower on/off) and direction (blower left/right) modules are also logically connected to the command input module. The method of the invention for operating a broom and a blower includes the steps of receiving a command input, measuring the duration of the command input, and determining whether the command input is a broom state command, a broom height command, a broom direction command, a blower state command, or a blower direction command. If the command is one which requires selection of an intermediate position, then the command is followed as long as the command is entered. If the command is of a relatively short duration, then the command input is latched and held for the length of time required to reach a full-stop position.

摘要: A circuit and a method deaverages a stream of digital data in order to reconstruct an original non-averaged data stream therefrom, and particularly for reconstructing non-averaged (original) pixel values from a scan line containing averaged odd/even pixel values. If "n" equals the number of separate values used to determine each average value, deaveraging is accomplished by multiplying an incoming averaged digital data value by a pre-determined amount to yield a multiplied average value; subtracting "m" successive prior data values in a reconstructed stream of original non-averaged data values from the multiplied average value in order to yield a current value, wherein the value of "m" equals "n-1"; delaying the current value by "m" successive delay intervals in order to provide "m" separate corresponding ones of the prior data values; and routing the current value to an output point as being a current non-averaged value in said reconstructed data stream. Advantageously, when the deaverager is used to deaverage a scan line containing odd/even averaged pixels, only the value of one pixel, i.e. the first non-averaged pixel that appears in the scan line, must be stored. As a result, the deaverager is advantageously simple and inexpensive to implement.

摘要: Apparatus, and an accompanying method, for use in an image enhancement system for providing background and noise values which, in many instances, are more representative of background and noise levels occurring in a scanned video image than those values previously obtainable in the art. This apparatus, which in its general form can be used to implement both a noise tracking circuit and/or a background tracking circuit, includes a two-dimensional non-linear, preferably infinite impulse response, filter that provides an output filtered value based upon the value of an incoming pixel situated on a current scan line and to first and second prior output values. The first prior output value is the output filtered value that is associated with a pixel located on a pre-determined one of a plurality of prior scan lines and situated to the right of the current pixel. The second prior output value is the output filtered value that is associated with a pre-selected pixel situated on the current scan line and located to the left of said current pixel.

摘要: A device and system for use before and after a disaster which incorporate a “Whole Community” response is illustrated. The system can be readily customized for use in other markets and scenarios and easily adapted into uses by emergency management. The device incorporates a GPS radio and/or cell phones with, pre-programmed instructions which are uploaded automatically in the device's memory via wireless technology prior to the unit's first use. Radios on the units can enable the searchers to audibly communicate with each other without cell towers. The system can be employed by cleanup teams, insurance adjusters, and any number of pre/post response teams focused on mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery operations. The system can contain a modifiable and functional, virtual badge and can export data gathered in the field, as well as integrate this data with other, pre-existing software via software APIs contained within the system and cell phone software.

摘要: A grill insert may be placed within a pan or other cooking implement to hold food above a heat source and to keep fluids from contacting the food. As food cooks upon the grill insert, fluids may drain into lower chambers or reservoirs. The grill rods are shaped to focus heat upon the food and to maximize space for holding fluids released during the cooking process. The form of the grill insert may have an underside with a center void so as to conform to a typical pan having a raised center portion.
