摘要: An elastic fixing screw valve body is provided on a wall of a frame of an image-reading apparatus. The valve body allows a carriage fixing screw to be passed through the through-hole in the wall and the valve body when the image-reading device is prepared for transport to a new location so as to secure one or more carriages within the frame to the wall. The valve body also allows the carriage fixing screw to be removed when the image-reading device is prepared for normal scanning operation after being transported to the new location. In addition, the valve body acts to seal the interior space of the frame from invasion by dust via the through-hole when the carriage fixing screw is removed from the through-hole and normal scanning operation of the image-reading apparatus is resumed at the new location.

摘要: A support structure for supporting reflectors on a half rate carriage in an image reader has an angle between a reflecting surface of a second reflector and an optical path from a first reflector of a full rate carriage to the second reflector is greater than 45° and less than 90°, for example about 53°, and an angle between the reflecting surface of the second reflector and a reflector of a third reflector is 90°. Thus, the degree of overlaying of the full rate carriage with the half rate carriage is increased and the image reader is miniaturized.

摘要: Support structure is disclosed for an image processing apparatus having a carriage that is scanned in order to read or print a document. Support brackets for attaching tension members, such as wire ropes, to each side of the carriage are formed by bending a flat plate to create an attachment plate portion of a bracket that is mounted on the carriage, a vibration absorbing arm, and a clamping extension. A wire rope is clamped to each clamping extension so that the carriage may be moved by the wire ropes. The width, length and thickness of the support brackets are selected to reduce vibrations, according to the speed and characteristics of the carriage, and at least the length dimension of the bracket may be readily adjusted. Also, vibration dampers may be used between the attachment plate portion of the bracket and the carriage.

摘要: A light source lamp socket of an image reader is formed to be capable of being placed as close to a platen glass as possible to increase the intensity of light beams to be irradiated on a original. A part of each of lamp socket attached on the both ends of a lamp tube of a light source lamp, which faces a platen glass, is cut-away into the shape of one or more flat surfaces such that a part of the lamp tube is exposed from a part of such a flat portion. Therefore, the light source lamp can be move closer to the platen glass a distance corresponding to the depth of the cut-away section of the lamp socket.

摘要: A tension mechanism for a carrier driving wire in an image processor in which a tension spring used to put the carrier driving wire under a tension is position regulated so that the tension spring is prevented from being stretched due to a vibration inevitably caused, for example, during transport of the image processor, and thereby the wire is reliably maintained in engagement with the guide pulleys. The housing of the image processor is provided with a spring stopper slidably moved longitudinally of a tension spring. The spring stopper has a pin adapted to be loosely inserted into an oval-shaped hook in one end of the tension spring adjacent an end of the wire.

摘要: A production method of a multi-layer printed wiring board containing the following steps (1)-(5): (1) a temporary fitting preparatory step including conveying an adhesive sheet from an adhesive sheet roll wherein an adhesive sheet having a prepreg formed on a support film is wound in a roll and placing the adhesive sheet such that a prepreg surface contacts one or both of the surfaces of a circuit board, (2) a temporary fitting step for temporarily fitting the adhesive sheet to the circuit board, including partially adhering the adhesive sheet to the circuit board by heating and pressing a part of the adhesive sheet from the support film side, and cutting the adhesive sheet according to the size of the circuit board with a cutter, (3) a laminating step including heating and pressing the temporarily fitted adhesive sheet under reduced pressure to laminate the adhesive sheet on the circuit board, (4) a thermal curing step including forming an insulating layer by thermally curing the prepreg, and (5) a detaching step including detaching the support film after the thermal curing step, enables continuous production of an insulating layer of a multi-layer printed wiring board with a prepreg and without using a single wafer.
