    摘要: There is provided control over transmission stages which suppresses unnecessary shifts to a higher speed based on road information stored in a navigation system to allow smooth acceleration. An intersection ahead of the vehicle in the traveling direction is detected based on the road information stored in the navigation system and, when the vehicle is decelerated as it approaches the intersection, an optimum transmission stage for acceleration is selected in advance in accordance with the speed of the vehicle by predicting the acceleration to be performed when exiting the intersection. This eliminates the need for a shift to a lower speed before effecting acceleration by pressing the accelerator and thereby ensures smooth acceleration.

    摘要: A neutral start switch has a base on which stationary contacts are arranged and a rotor on which movable contacts capable of contacting the stationary contacts are disposed. The stationary contacts include reverse lamp contacts connected to a reverse lamp lighting circuit, position stationary contacts connected to a position signal circuit provided in an electronic control device, and starter stationary contacts connected to a starter motor driving circuit. The contacts are arranged so that contact portions of the movable contacts that contact the reverse lamp stationary contacts are different from contact portions of the movable contacts that contact the other stationary contacts, thereby preventing carbonized powder produced by spark at the time of the closure and opening of the reverse lamp contacts from causing a contact failure of another contact.

The transmission mechanism includes a predetermined rotary element to be retained for establishing the reverse stage; a reverse brake for retaining the rotary element; and a frictional engagement element capable of stopping the rotation of the rotary element. The reverse brake is a meshing type brake which meshes with and retains the rotary element. The control system has an engagement mechanism for applying the frictional engagement element. When the reverse stage is selected, the frictional engagement element is applied at least until the meshing engagement of the reverse brake is established, to stop the predetermined rotary element.

    摘要: In a CVT transmission with planetary gear operation in forward, zero and reverse directions, reduction in CVT secondary/primary pulley ratio is inhibited when the pulley ratio is less than a set pulley ratio which is higher than the pulley ratio producing zero output rotation (a gear-neutral state). In a ratio region below the set pulley ratio, a movable sheave of a primary pulley is moved to an O/D side. The amount of the movement is detected by a sensor shoe (detecting means) which is associated with the movable sheave. A ratio sensing valve (inhibition means) associated with the sensor shoe, in turn, clogs a port, halting a hydraulic pressure supplied by a primary regulator valve. As a result, no hydraulic pressure is supplied to the second hydraulic chamber by way of a down-shift relief valve, a manual valve or a low-high control valve, inhibiting a down shift.

    摘要: An automatic transmission control apparatus has first and second hydraulic servos for engaging forward and reverse driving friction engaging elements, respectively, a fluid pressure control unit, a range shift detector, and an electronic control unit. When the forward driving range is selected, the fluid pressure control unit supplies a forward driving range pressure to the hydraulic servo via a changeover valve operated by a signal pressure from a normal open-type solenoid valve, when the signal pressure is drained. When the reverse driving range is selected, the electronic control unit outputs a signal to magnetize the solenoid valve. The solenoid valve is thus turned on to discontinue the drain. The control apparatus thus prevents low pressure in the reverse driving range pressure to prevent delay of engagement of the clutch.
