    摘要: An automatic transmission control apparatus includes a continuously variable transmission (CVT) which, in turn, includes a primary pulley, a secondary pulley, a belt stretched between the primary pulley and the secondary pulley. The control apparatus further includes a pinching pressure generator for generating a pinching pressure on the belt, a travel environment all detector for detecting the travel environment of a vehicle, a torque variation estimator for estimating the transmission torque variation during travel, and a pinching pressure changer for changing the pinching pressure based on the estimation. The pinching pressure is prevented from constantly increasing because the transmission torque variation during travel is estimated, and the pinching pressure for the belt is changed based on the estimation. Accordingly, the torque transmission efficiency can be increased, and the fuel efficiency can thus be improved.

    摘要: A vehicle control system includes a road data memory, current position sensor that detects a current position of a vehicle and a camera that takes a picture of the road ahead of the current position. At least one indicator line such as a lane dividing line on the road is shown in the picture. The picture changes as the vehicle moves forward along the road, during which increase in width of the indicator line or increase of distance between two indicator lines may be detected. By such detection, the vehicle position with respect to the indicator line is determined, the result of which is incorporated into control operation of an automatic transmission, for example.

    摘要: There is provided control over transmission stages which suppresses unnecessary shifts to a higher speed based on road information stored in a navigation system to allow smooth acceleration. An intersection ahead of the vehicle in the traveling direction is detected based on the road information stored in the navigation system and, when the vehicle is decelerated as it approaches the intersection, an optimum transmission stage for acceleration is selected in advance in accordance with the speed of the vehicle by predicting the acceleration to be performed when exiting the intersection. This eliminates the need for a shift to a lower speed before effecting acceleration by pressing the accelerator and thereby ensures smooth acceleration.

    摘要: A vehicle has a rotary magnetic field member which is rotatably supported at a position near the surface of a roadway along which the vehicle runs and rotatingly driven by a driving device. The rotary magnetic field member has magnetic poles of different polarities alternately arranged around its circumference. The vehicle also has an electrical power collector for receiving electrical power from an electrical power supply associated with the roadway. The received electrical power is supplied under the control of a controller to the driving device thereby rotatably driving the rotary magnetic field member. The rotary magnetic field member when rotated relative to the roadway made of an electrically conductive non-magnetic material, forms a varying magnetic field in cooperation with the roadway, thereby generating propulsion force for propelling the vehicle and force for suspending the vehicle, so that the vehicle is propelled in a floating state. It is therefore possible to reduce friction between wheels of the vehicle and the roadway and, hence, to suppress wear of the wheels. In a high-speed transportation system of the invention, the electrical power collector picks up electrical power from the electrical power supply and the rotary magnetic field member is rotatingly driven by the power picked up by the electrical power collector.

    摘要: A transmission control system for controlling a transmission. The system has a main transmission with a speed changing mechanism and an output shaft, a substransmission connected to the output shaft, and a control system for receiving outputs from a number of sensors which sense the running state of the vehicle. The control system itself has two outputs, there being two separate hydraulic controls connected to the two system outputs, respectively. The two hydraulic controls control the speed changing mechanisms of the main and subtransmissions, respectively. Also provided is a hydraulic pressure source which supplies a working fluid to the two hydraulic controls. The control system determines whether the main and subtransmissions are in a transient period of the speed changing operation and, as long as one of the two transmissions is in the transient period, inhibits the speed changing operation of the other transmission.

    摘要: A fluid pressure actuator for a frictionally engaged unit of a vehicular transmission includes a first transmission and a second transmission coupled to the output side of the first transmission and provided with a speed step change mechanism which has a frictionally engaging element for engaging a rotary member to a fixed member in such a manner as to enable an optional disengagement between the rotary member and the fixed member. The fluid pressure actuator further has an annular cylinder for operating the frictionally engaging element and has an outer annular portion and an inner annular portion provided inside the outer annular portion coaxially therewith, an annular piston including an outer annular portion slidably fitted to the outer annular portion of the cylinder and an inner annular portion slidably fitted to the inner annular portion of the cylinder, an outer cylinder chamber defined by the outer annular portions of the cylinder and the piston, and an inner cylinder chamber defined by the inner annular portions of the cylinder and the piston and connected to the outer cylinder chamber through an orifice through which working oil is supplied to one of the cylinder chambers. A one-way valve is provided in one of the annular portions of the cylinder for causing external air to be drawn into the one oil chamber.

The inhibitor have functions to perform the supply and discharge of the hydraulic pressure to and from the hydraulic servomechanism in accordance with a first hydraulic signal and a second hydraulic signal through an arrangement which produces the first hydraulic signal for urging the change-over valve to the second set position and urging the plunger to the first set position. An arrangement produces the second hydraulic signal for urging the plunger to the second position; and an arrangement delays a discharge of the second hydraulic signal.
