    摘要: The object of the present invention is to disclose a novel optical miniaturized handheld medical device for convenient monitoring and/or data collection of detailed signals on human cardiovascular function. The implementation consists of a number of advanced technologies, including interferometric detection, phase controlled focusing beam steering, auto-tracking scheme and algorism, and integrated optical chip assembly to enhance the device's performance and miniaturization. Briefly, this handheld medical device directs a single or dual output laser beam(s) onto certain skin surface to detect the surface vibration velocity at the point where the laser hits the surface. The skin surface vibrates in response to cardiovascular signals, such as blood pressure pulses, turbulent blood flow through narrowed arteries, pumping actions of the heart, or the closure of the heart valves etc. The miniaturized apparatus thus is capable of detecting these signals for the assessment of cardiovascular functions in both healthy and disease conditions.

    摘要: A medical device includes a treatment module configured to apply a treatment to a patient. The medical device includes an interface configured to operatively connect to a removable storage device storing authorization data that identifies a level of treatment authorization. The medical device includes a processing device configured to perform operations in response to receiving user input indicating a treatment should be initiated. The operations include determining whether the removable storage device is valid for use with the medical device. If the removable storage device is determined to be valid, the authorization data is accessed. The processing device determines whether the treatment is authorized based on the accessed authorization data. If the treatment is determined to be authorized, the treatment module is controlled to apply the treatment. If the treatment is determined to not be authorized, the treatment module is controlled such that the treatment is not applied.

    摘要: An external heat exchanger is used to transfer heat from a compressor lubricant to an expanded working fluid, thereby cooling the lubricant. The heat exchanger may also be used to sub-cool condensed working fluid with the same flow of expanded working fluid. A horizontal scroll-type compressor includes an intermediate lubricant sump between a main bearing support and a scroll member. A counterweight on the crankshaft can travel through the lubricant in the intermediate sump to splash the lubricant around. A horizontal scroll-type compressor can include multiple machined surfaces that are utilized to precisely center and align components of the compressor.

    摘要: Parallel data generated by demultiplexing received serial data such as in a Serial RapidIO (SRIO) data stream can become misaligned as a result of, e.g., clock tolerance compensation (CTC) processing at the receiver. In one embodiment of the invention, the misaligned parallel data is properly aligned based on a mapping from each of a finite number of possible previous alignment conditions (e.g., words A-D) to a corresponding finite number of possible subsequent alignment conditions (e.g., words B-G). The change from a previous alignment condition to a different subsequent alignment condition is recognized by determining the location of start-of-packet (SOP) or start-of-control-symbol (SOC) data in the parallel data stream.
