    摘要： A liquid-crystalline polyester for film having small linear expansibility and high flexibility is provided. The polyester may have structural units —O—Ar1-CO—, —NH—Ar2-X—, —CO—Ar3-CO— and —CO—Ar4-Z-Ar5-CO— wherein Ar1 represents 1,4-phenylene, 2,6-naphthylene or 4,4′-biphenylene, Ar2 represents 1,4-phenylene or 1,3-phenylene, X represents —O— or —NH—, Ar3 represents 1,4-phenylene, 1,3-phenylene or 2,6-naphthylene, Ar4 and Ar5 independently represent 1,4-phenylene, 2,6-naphthylene or 4,4′-biphenylene, and Z represents —O—, —SO2— or —CO—, in which the amount of monomer (1) is 30-80% by mol, the amount of monomer (2) is 10-35% by mol, the total amount of monomers (3) and (4) is 10-35% by mol and the amount of monomer (4) is 1% by mol or larger.

    摘要： The present invention provides a method for producing a liquid crystalline polyester fiber, the method comprising the steps of discharging an electrically charged solution comprising a liquid crystalline polyester, a fiber-forming polymer and a solvent from a container; and drawing the charged solution by electrical attraction in an electrical field generated between the solution and an electrically charged collecting means having the opposite charge of the solution, while evaporating at least a portion of the solvent to form a liquid crystalline polyester fiber. The fiber obtained in the present invention has a small average fiber diameter and can be made into a thin fiber cloth with high density.

    摘要： The present invention provides a laminate comprising a resin layer and a copper foil. The resin layer is made from a liquid crystalline polyester having at least one structural unit selected from a structural unit derived from aromatic diamine and a structural unit derived from aromatic amine with a phenolic hydroxyl group in an amount of 10 to 35% by mole on the basis of the total structural units in the polyester. The copper foil has a tensile modulus of 60 GPa or smaller and a tensile strength at break of 150 MPa or smaller measured after heat treatment at a temperature of 300° C. The copper-foil laminate has good flexibility and high durability with little anisotropy is provided.
