摘要: An obstacle detection system determines a probability distribution of existence of an obstacle object corresponding to a distance in an irradiation direction of a transmission wave based on detected strength data per scanning-angle supplied from a radar device. A peak-value of the strength data becomes a maximum probability of existence of the obstacle. The probability distribution has a range gradually decreasing before and after the peak-value. Even if the position indicated by the maximum probability of existence of the obstacle object is different from an actual distance to the obstacle object, it hardly occurs that the probability of existence at an actual position of the obstacle object becomes zero. This eliminates occurrence of separation/association errors. Primary and secondary existence probability relationships made based on the probability distribution are combined. Using the combined one further decreases the error detection.

摘要: An inspecting method includes registering a pre-obtained relationship between contact time of the probes with the target object having the predetermined temperature and tip positions of the probes which vary in accordance with the contact time. The method further includes inspecting the chips by estimating the tip positions of the probes based on the relationship and the contact time of the probes with the chips upon the inspection and then correcting the tip positions of the probes from previous tip positions based on the estimated values until the probes are stable without being extended or contracted during the inspection.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention help to improve the cost, mountability, and reliability of a magnetic disk drive that regulates a fly height of a magnetic head slider correspondingly to the operating altitude of the drive by using an air pressure sensor and a heater. According to one embodiment, a preamplifier is a semiconductor chip formed by three-dimensionally laminating thin film circuits on a bulk silicon wafer. An air pressure sensor is integrally formed on the semiconductor chip through a semiconductor process. The air pressure sensor is configured to include an isolating cavity, a diaphragm that deflecting in response to a change in a pressure difference between the isolating cavity and the outside, and lower and upper electrodes and for detecting variation in electrostatic capacitance. The preamplifier including the air pressure sensor integrally formed therein is attached to a flexible printed cable (FPC) to oppose the FPC. A through-hole is provided in a portion opposite the air pressure sensor of the FPC to introduce air pressure in an operating environment into a diaphragm of the air pressure sensor.

摘要: Disclosed is a combined power generation unit 25 that is provided with a gasification unit including a gasification furnace 23 used to produce fuel gas and a gas turbine rotating using the fuel gas produced by the gasification unit to generate power. In order to produce the fuel gas required in the combined power generation unit 25 according to a required power load using the gasification unit, a feed-forward control of the gasification unit is performed, a dead time compensator 71 that compensates a lag and a dead time occurring while the fuel gas is fed from the gasification unit to the combined power generation unit is provided, and the gasification unit is operated using a zero flare process. A dead time compensator 46 is provided to delay the power load that is required in the combined power generation unit 25 on the basis of the lag and the dead time of the gasification unit so that the combined power generation unit 25 is operated while a follow-up is performed with a predetermined delay.

摘要: A humoral testing apparatus in which a measuring light is irradiated to a reagent area forming a color as a result of a reaction and an optical density of the reagent area is detected by a detecting operation of light intensity of the reflected light. The humoral testing apparatus enables a humoral test to be performed accurately in cases where nonuniformity occurs with the reaction of a reagent with a humoral sample within the reagent area, or in cases where fine dust is present within each detecting spot in the reagent areas. The light reflected from the reagent areas is detected with a two-dimensional photodetector. The independent light intensity detecting operations are performed with respect to the subareas of the reagent area of a reagent layer. A photo detection signal S, which represents the intensity of the reflected light is statistically processed with a signal processing section 51.
