摘要: In a process for the production of colour photographic prints, in which transparent colour photographic originals having a wide range of brightness are reproduced on a colour photographic paper and the colour photographic paper exposed in this manner is subjected to a process comprising at least the stages colour development and silver removal, satisfactory definition both in the highlights and in the shadows is achieved by locally modifying the sensitivity of the colour negative paper before processing as a function of the original and with the modification not being sharply defined.

摘要: A process serves for recoating a deactivated catalyst coating of a catalyst for converting harmful constituents from the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine, particularly in a motor vehicle. In this process, washcoat and/or noble metal compounds are sprayed by means of an aerosol into the catalyst. The noble metal compounds are subsequently brought into their elemental state by means of a reducing medium flowing through the catalyst, after which the washcoat applied is dried by heat treatment or calcination. In an apparatus for carrying out the process, a first line for a carrier gas and a second line for the washcoat and/or the noble metal compounds are provided. The first line is arranged at least partly in a region before the catalyst within the second line and at its ends nearest the catalyst is provided with an atomization device. The second line opens into the catalyst, with there being provided after the catalyst a third line which opens into a separator from which the first and the second lines lead away.

摘要: A copier for making prints from photographic negatives has two copying stations arranged in series. A filmstrip is conveyed through the stations in succession, and each negative of the filmstrip is scanned upstream of the copying stations. The data obtained upon scanning is analyzed to calculate the amounts of copy light for the negatives and to determine whether the respective negatives are to be copied under standard conditions or nonstandard conditions. Masters requiring standard conditions are normally copied in the upstream copying station and pass through the downstream station without being copied. On the other hand, masters requiring nonstandard conditions are transported through the upstream station without being copied and are subsequently copied in the downstream station.

摘要: A method, and an apparatus for carrying out the method, for purifying exhaust gases from internal combustion engines is provided. The engines having a catalyzer system which includes a first catalyzer and at least one second catalyzer, arranged downstream of the first catalyzer, for the conversion of HC, CO and NO.sub.x exhaust gas constituents. Exhaust gases flow through both catalyzers during the entire operating period of the engine. The first catalyzer is suitable for at least the catalytic conversion of HC and CO exhaust gas constituents. In a first step of the method, the first catalyzer is operated over-stoichiometrically during the cold starting phase in order to reduce the HC and CO emissions and, in a second step of the method with .lambda.-controlled stoichiometric exhaust gas composition, the catalytic conversion of the exhaust gas is at least largely de-activated and in the first catalyzer takes place in the second catalyzer. Substantially better endurance of the first catalyzer is attained for the same good reduction in the exhaust gas pollutants.

摘要: A radiation-sensitive composition is disclosed comprising a polymeric binder which is insoluble in water, but soluble or at least swellable in aqueous alkaline solution and a 2,3,4,4'-tetrahydroxybenzophenone which is partially esterified with (1,2-naphthoquinone 2-diazide)-4- and/or -5-sulfonic acid, which additionally contains either a dihydroxybenzophenone which is completely esterified with (1,2-naphthoquinone 2-diazide)-4- and/or -5-sulfonic acid or a trihydroxybenzophenone which is partially or completely esterified with (1,2-naphthoquinone 2-diazide)-4- and/or -5-sulfonic acid. The weight ratio of esterified 2,3,4,4'-tetrahydroxybenzophenone to esterified di- or trihydroxybenzophenone varies between about 4:6 and 7:3 and the esterified hydroxybenzophenones, as a whole, are present in a proportion of 5 to 40% by weight, based on the total weight of solids contained in the composition. Also disclosed is a radiation-sensitive recording material comprising a support and a layer containing this composition, which is present on the support.

摘要: The exhaust gas equipment for an internal combustion engine contains an exhaust pipe, an exhaust gas cleaner and an adsorption filter, to whose filter body exhaust gas is admitted by a controlled exhaust gas butterfly. In order to prevent damage to the filter due to overheating, in an arrangement of the exhaust gas equipment which is economical in installation space where the adsorption filter is located along the course of the exhaust pipe and a filter body surrounds the latter coaxially, a thermal insulation element is provided between the filter body and exhaust gas flow. The thermal insulation element has transfer openings at least partially outside the exhaust pipe section surrounded by the filter body for guiding the exhaust gas flow through the filter body.

摘要: A process is described for the determination of the aging condition of an exhaust-gas catalyst for an internal combustion engine which is fitted with .lambda.-controlled regulation of the fuel/air ratio. In the process, the switching of the fuel/air ratio from rich to lean and vice versa is delayed and the content of the combustibles in the exhaust gas downstream of the catalyst is measured. With delayed switching, complete conversion of the exhaust gas only occurs when the catalyst still possesses its full oxygen-storage capability. Since the oxygen-storage capability decreases with increasing age of the catalyst, the degree of conversion or the proportion of combustible components arising in the exhaust gas when conversion is no longer complete is a direct measure of the aging condition of the catalyst. A catalyst can thus be replaced in good time before it is completely destroyed and before undesired components of the exhaust gas reach the atmosphere.
