    摘要: In each node of an optical transmission system: an optical preamplifier has an ALC function for maintaining an optical output level constant and an AGC function for maintaining the gain constant; the operational mode of the optical preamplifier is changed from an ALC mode to an AGC mode after the gain is set in the ALC mode; an optical postamplifier has an AGC function; an optical switch unit performs an optical crossconnect operation; and a thru-light-shutoff control unit makes a switch setting so as to shut off pass-through light in the optical switch unit and stop transmission of an optical signal having an unstable level to a next stage when the optical preamplifier operates in the ALC mode, and clears the switch setting when the operational mode of the optical preamplifier is changed to the AGC mode.

    摘要: Anode voltages A′ and B′ corresponding to video signals A and B are switched by a first switch and supplied to an anode. Cut-off voltages A and B corresponding to the video signals A and B are switched by a second switch and added to a video signal by an adder. A resultant signal is supplied to a cathode. In a CRT, the luminance rises in association with the step-down of the cut-off voltage and the step-up of the anode voltage and the resolution rises in association with the step-up of the cut-off voltage and the step-up of the anode voltage. The first and second switches are switched in accordance with the format of the input video signal respectively, thereby properly selecting the anode voltage which is applied to the CRT and the cut-off voltage. The video image can be displayed by the CRT at the luminance and resolution according to the video signal without changing a driving voltage.

Additionally, the joint unit includes a mounting opening portion located at the base end of the socket portion, and a closing member which is adapted to be attached in such a manner as to close off the mounting opening portion at the base end of the socket portion and apply a given preliminary load to the ball head portion of the ball stud.
