Abstract:
A liquid jetting pump of the present invention is constructed such that an intra container liquid is sucked into a cylinder 3 through a suction valve 9 by moving a vertically movable member 4 up and down, and the intra cylinder liquid is jetted out of a nozzle 29 through a discharge valve 31 from a stem 28. A plurality of ribs 10 are protruded in a peripheral direction from a lower edge part within the cylinder. Engagement recessed portions 11 are formed in inner parts of the upper surfaces of the ribs. A lower edge of a coil spring 38 for biasing the vertically movable member 4 is secured to each of the engagement recessed portions 11, thereby permitting a flow of liquid on both sides of the lower edge of the spring internally externally.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a dispensing device comprising a fluid product pump (1) defining: a pump chamber (112) with variable volume; an intake valve (14) allowing the fluid product to penetrate into the pump chamber; and an outlet valve (16) allowing the pressurized fluid to exit from the chamber; a dispensing orifice (195) downstream the outlet valve, and the outlet valve comprising a valve seat (126) and a mobile valve member (16) elastically stressed on said seat. The invention is characterized in that the mobile valve member (16) forms piston means for delivering the fluid product downstream towards the dispensing orifice.

Abstract:
An all plastic metering pump having a bellows-type spring with a tubular valve which is integrally formed on it in a single piece in a discharge region toward a metering head, the tubular valve being designed as a discharge valve of the metering pump. In the method, the pump components, which have been manufactured in each case in a plurality of injection cycles, are assembled from the injection mold in a defined assembly sequence in time with the injection cycles, the number of assembly steps corresponding to the number of injection cycles for producing the various pump components.
Abstract:
Various pump features are provided. In a first aspect of the subject invention, an evaporation-reduction feature is provided, wherein a pump having an actuator with a nozzle is provided with a releasable cap having a first shield located to entrap a fixed volume of air about the nozzle. In a second aspect, a check valve element return feature is provided, wherein a valve seat is located along the pump's internal fluid passage with a plurality of deflectable spring arms extending therefrom. A valve element is disposed between the spring arms and the valve seat, with the spring arms being deflectable in response to movement of the check valve element away from the valve seat. In a third aspect, a compliant shut-off valve feature is provided, wherein, a tubular piston is disposed about a poppet having an enlarged head formed at one end thereof, and the first end of the piston is deflectable in response to interferingly engaging the head. In a fourth aspect, a fluid trapping well is provided, wherein a pump includes a pump inlet, and a reservoir having a first portion and a second well portion in open fluid communication. Fluid may be trapped within the well portion at various angular orientations of the pump to communicate directly with the pump inlet.
Abstract:
A low cost trigger sprayer has a housing with a first liquid passage containing a spinner assembly. An elastomeric pump element is positioned generally horizontally such that pulling the trigger retracts the element and releasing the trigger allows the element to extend. The sprayer includes a low cost spinner assembly and low cost valving to control the flow of liquid within the sprayer. In one aspect of the invention, the housing has front and rear sections with the rear section having a saddle portion and being hinged to the front section for pivotal movement from an open position for molding the housing to a closed position for operating the sprayer. In another aspect of the invention, the container has a rear portion which extends upwardly past the neck and defining a saddle recess, with the housing connected to the neck of the container and positioned forwardly of the upwardly extending container portion. The sprayer may include an elastomeric spring for biasing the pump element in the extended position.
Abstract:
A dispensing device which includes a container for liquid to be dispensed, an outlet nozzle including a device to break-up a flow of liquid under pressure into a spray, a piston for forcing liquid out of the container under pressure and through the nozzle, and a drive device for moving the piston a predetermined distance to dispense a predetermined quantity of liquid from the container. The drive device includes a dose selector for selecting the predetermined amount of liquid and a plunger for moving the piston, movement of the dose selector determining subsequent movement of the plunger. The device is particularly suited to nasal administration of liquid.
Abstract:
A dispenser for the metered discharge of liquids and in particular pasty masses, having a delivery pump actuatable by finger pressure. The pump has a vacuum-type action and a restoring spring and pressure and suction valves. The container to which the pump is to be attached preferably is a container having resilient walls. The pump has a discharge bore with a closure element, to open and close the discharge bore. The pump has a pump chamber that is open and closed at its top end by a pressure valve. The pressure valve is connected to a plunger. A suction valve is axially spaced from the pressure valve and the suction valve is positioned to open and close the bottom end of the pump chamber. Contact zones are provided between the suction valve and the pressure valve. The plunger is displaceable in the delivery direction, and a restoring spring is located outside of the pump chamber. The restoring spring is clamped between a shoulder surrounding the pump chamber and a plunger flange. A sliding guidance is connected with a metering head. The guidance has a circumferential edge that acts as a stop and there is a closure element movable in the discharge bore by a lever key connected thereto.
Abstract:
A method and device are described for atomising liquids, in which the liquid is forced through an annular gap formed between a spherical or conical surface and a circumambient hole in a plate, which components may be displaced relative to one another to control the flow of liquid through the gap. The size of the gap is controlled by a stop.
Abstract:
A fluid-dispensing device which selectively draws fluid out from at least two containers or fluid chambers, mixes the fluids in a desired concentration or ratio and expels the mixture of fluids out a nozzle. The dispensing device may be equipped with a mechanism for variably controlling the ratio of the fluids being mixed. The containers may be bottles connectable to the fluid-dispensing device and selectively detachable for refilling with fluid or exchanging one of the containers with another container having an alternate fluid. The bottles include mating elements to permit interconnection of the bottles as well as venting and spill prevention mechanisms.
