摘要: The disclosed technology generally relates to methods of forming foamed and non-foamed aqueous rubbers for use in automotive applications and which are configured to provide vibration and noise damping. In one aspect, a method of forming an elastomer comprises forming a latex solution and then curing the latex solution. Forming the latex solution comprises forming a medium by mixing water and ethylene glycol monobutyl ether (glycol ether EB) and then adding to the medium a rheology modifier, a dispersing agent, a wetting agent, a filler material, and a latex suspension. Water makes up 50-90 wt. % of the latex solution.

摘要: The invention is a system and method for reinforcing an existing wall structure to support hanging a load from a wall. By employing a solidifiable fire-retardant composition adapted to solidify inside a hollow wall structure, a structural support may be formed to provide a suitable support structure for hanging a medium to heavy load in lieu of an unavailable stud. In exemplary embodiments, a method may include the steps of (a) forming an aperture on a wall panel, the aperture providing access through a front surface of the wall panel to a cavity behind a back surface of the wall panel; (b) applying, inside the cavity, a solidifiable fire-retardant composition adapted to solidify inside the cavity through the aperture; (c) allowing the fire-retardant composition to solidify inside the cavity; and (d) anchoring one or more wall fasteners to the wall panel and to the solidified fire-retardant composition inside the cavity.

摘要: The mixing system includes a first container filled with a polyol composition, a second container filled with an isocyanate composition, and a stationary mixer configured to mix the polyol composition discharged from the first container and the isocyanate composition discharged from the second container. The polyol composition includes a polyol, a catalyst, and a low boiling point compound having a boiling point of less than 0° C. The isocyanate composition includes an isocyanate compound and a low boiling point compound having a boiling point of less than 0° C. The first container and the second container each have an internal pressure in a range of 0.3 to 1.0 MPa at 35° C., and a mixer portion of the stationary mixer has a length of 30 to 230 mm. A mixing system can be provided that enhances the mixability of a polyol composition and a polyisocyanate composition in a stationary mixer and prevents curing in the stationary mixer.

摘要: Storage-stable two-component polyurethane or polyisocyanurate spray foam compositions are disclosed, said compositions comprising: (a) an A-side component comprising one or more polyisocyanate and one or more catalyst; and (b) a B-side component comprising one or more polyol; and further comprising one or more hydrohaloolefin blowing agent in either the A-side component or the B-side component, or in both; wherein both the A-side component and the B-side component, separately, generate less than 600 ppm of fluoride ion after two weeks of aging at 50° C.
