摘要： A method of forming a continuous composite structure includes encapsulating solid additive particles with a first reactive liquid resin forming material and migrating part of the mixture through a porous blanket to form a continuous resin matrix within the blanket with adhesive outer surfaces. A thin coating of a second preselected resin forming material which substantially cures immediately upon application is applied over one major adhesive upper surface of the matrix/blanket while allowing an area of the adhesive surface to remain exposed along one edge of the upper surface thereof. A plurality of preselected flexible lengths of the coated matrix/blanket are individually positioned successively in an overlapping orientation with the exposed adhesive area of the upper surface of the adjoining positioned length tightly affixed to the adhesive lower surface of the succeeding length to form a continuous composite structure. Also, the composite structure and apparatus for producing same.

摘要： A cover reel assembly for laying or retrieving a ground cover comprising a first frame attachable to a prime mover, the first frame having pivotal support arms attached rotatably to a cover reel and attached fixedly to a second frame, with a hydraulic device between the first frame and pivotal support arms to raise and lower the cover reel and second frame, the second frame being attached to a third frame having a brush/guide mechanism. The prime mover pushes the cover reel assembly forward with downward pressure from the hydraulic device on the cover reel to unwind a ground cover from the cover reel onto the ground, simultaneously laying cables from cable reels as retainers on the ground cover, with the cable reels attached to the first frame. The ground cover and cables are rewound by a reverse procedure pushing the cover reel assembly forward. In an alternate embodiment the three frames are arranged so that the prime mover can pull the cover reel assembly for laying or retrieving the ground cover and retaining cables.

摘要： A method of forming a continuous structure includes the steps of preselecting a liquid reactive resin forming material, a particulate solid additive material and a porous blanket. The additive particles are mixed with the liquid resin forming material substantially continuously in a proportion significantly greater than that of the liquid resin forming material. Substantially all of the additive particles are encapsulated with the liquid resin forming material to a preselected thickness. A pool of the resulting mixture is formed on the blanket. The blanket is advanced at a rate sufficient to create movement of the additive particles within the pool and maintain the additive particles in suspension. Part of the liquid resin forming material is migrated through the blanket substantially uniformly prior to gelling of the liquid resin forming material to form a continuous resin matrix within the blanket. Also, apparatus forming the structure as well as the structure itself.

摘要： A continuous structural laminate includes a plurality of continuous generally parallel spaced integrally bonded porous blankets with a continuous polymeric matrix extending through each porous blanket. The polymeric matrices include compatible polymer forming materials. At least two of the blankets include polymeric matrices with differing particulate reinforcements. The continuous structural laminate is formed and applied with mobile apparatus including a support portion, a raw material supplying portion, a mixing portion, a matrix forming portion and a control portion. The support portion includes at least two base sections with carriages depending from a first base section including a plurality of spaced transverse axle assemblies and wheels mounted on free ends of each axle assembly. A boom section extends from the first base section with transfer mechanism selectively moving a second base section along the boom section. The raw material supplying portion includes a plurality of reservoirs disposed on the first base section. A blanket support also is disposed on the first base section. The mixing portion, matrix forming portion and blanket combining mechanism are disposed closely adjacent to the second base section and movable therewith.

摘要： A method of continuously forming an extended length of a unitary structure includes the following steps. A supply of a porous flexible blanket is provided. A high viscosity flowable solidifiable mixture is continuously flowed simultaneously into an entire continuously moving width of the porous flexible blanket. Pressure is applied against the treated blanket to form a uniform matrix therewith. The rate of advance of the blanket is monitored. The rate of advance is coordinated with the flow rate of the mixture into the blanket and with the pressure applied thereto. A substantially flat non-porous flexible envelope is positioned along the length of the treated blanket. The envelope/blanket combination is positioned along a desired path. A pressurized gas is introduced into the envelope. The envelope is inflated to move the treated blanket into a final configuration. The non-porous envelope is maintained in an inflated state until the treated blanket is set in the final configuration. Also, a unitary structure formed according to the above method.

Secured within the insert holder frame is an aligning frame which receives the inserts and aligns them in the desired manner. The inserts are supported within the insert holder frame by a plurality of hooks affixed to movable rods, such rods preferably tied together such that the rods may be moved simultaneously, causing the hooks to release the inserts uniformly.

摘要： An underwater paving machine for making fillings on the river beds is provided comprising a boat having a platform carrying a working structure comprising a pair of uprights supporting a horizontal shaft driven by a motor and carrying a number of spools on which rolls of cables or wires are wound. Said cables or wires are intended to carry blocks made of vibrated concrete and initially supported by a cage intended to be anchored on the river bed. The cage with the blocks are sinked into the water so as to form the fillings on the river bed. The tension of cables or wires is controlled by independent clutches associated to the spools. The blocks are coupled to each other by fastening means both in horizontal and vertical directions. In the area of the boat mounting the working structure an enlargement of the hull is provided intended to increase the buoyancy of the boat. A pair of lateral tanks serve to stabilize the boat on the sides thereof.
