Abstract:
A door operator unit for opening and closing an upward acting or horizontally moveable door includes a drive motor connected to a speed reduction differential planetary gear drive mechanism having a drive unit output shaft for connection to further door drive mechanism. An electromagnetic brake is interposed the motor output shaft and the planetary gear drive mechanism and is releasable when energized to allow rotation of the motor output shaft and the drive unit output shaft. A first ring gear of the planetary gear drive mechanism is normally held stationary by a release block and is operable in response to disengagement of the release block to permit rotation of the drive unit output shaft when the brake in engaged to allow manual opening and closing of the door by way of an auxiliary or manual drive shaft connected through a gear train to the ring gear. The ring gear release block is connected to actuating mechanism for alternately holding the release block disengaged from the first ring gear and allowing the release block to reengage the first ring gear in response to successive actuations. A torque limiting clutch may be interposed the operator unit output shaft and a second ring gear of the differential planetary gear drive mechanism.
Abstract:
A swivel-sliding door system for a vehicle having at least one door leaf situated in the vehicle wall in the closed state, and situated on the outside in front of the vehicle wall in the open state while leaving a door opening free. A drive as well as transverse and longitudinal guides are provided which enable a movement at the at least one door leaf transverse relative to the vehicle wall and along the vehicle wall, wherein the drive and the transverse and longitudinal guides are combined into one complete operating unit that can be mounted as one whole in the vehicle and be coupled to the at least one door leaf. The operating unit comprises a frame which, in assembled condition, is fixedly connected to the vehicle and an assembly which is movably provided in the frame and which comprises a drive motor for the door leaf movements. The frame may include a girder extending along the door opening and end flanges provided at the ends of the girder, wherein the movable assembly is movable along the end flanges, transversely to the vehicle wall and the girder, for executing a plug movement and wherein the drive motor effects both the plug movement and the longitudinal movement of the at least one door leaf along the vehicle wall.
Abstract:
A belt-type door opening and closing drive apparatus is provided, which can reduce the noise and dimensions thereof and make full use of the mechanical safety function in the event of an accident. The belt-type door opening and closing drive apparatus allows the output of a motor unit to drive a belt (timing belt), thereby opening and closing the door of an elevator cage or the like. Between the motor unit and the timing belt, interposed are planetary roller mechanisms for transmitting power by the mutual rotation of sun rollers, a plurality of planetary rollers supported rotatably by carriers and circumscribing the sun rollers, and ring rollers inscribed by the planetary rollers. The planetary roller mechanism receives the output from the motor unit and the output from the planetary roller mechanism is transmitted to the timing belt.
Abstract:
An electrically operated actuator (10) for a slidable door of a motor vehicle comprising a planetary gear set (12) including a sun gear (22), a number of pinion gears (24) rotatably mounted on a planet carrier (26) and interengaging with the sun gear, and a ring gear (28) interengaging with the pinion gears, the sun gear, planet carrier and ring gear being rotatable about an axis (A); an electric motor (14) connected to the planet carrier to rotate the planet carrier about the axis; an electrically actuated brake (16) connected to the sun gear to brake rotation of the sun gear about the axis; a cable drum (18) rotatably driven by the ring gear; and a cable (20) wound around the cable drum and connectable to the slidable door. Allows a reduction in overall dimensions of the actuator.
Abstract:
A motorized window operator for opening and closing a window having a mechanical drive system including a rotatable drive axle. A housing contains a motor which is in operative engagement with a gear train having an output gear. The output gear is engageable with an engagement means mounted upon the drive axle of the window. For engaging the output gear train with the engagement means, operation of the motor will rotate the drive axle to either open or close the window according to desire. The gear train is dissengageable from the engagement means which at the same time dissengages power to the motor. The drive axle can then be manually operated.
