摘要: An apparatus comprises a memory unit, and a control unit connected to the memory unit. The apparatus can be configured to interface at least one access node; the control unit is configured to derive at least one local level security key within an established security context for a terminal, forward the derived local security key to at least one access node, and detect failures in a handover for a terminal being served by a first access node towards a second access node. The failures concern the interface between the apparatus and the second access node. In response to a verified trigger condition, the control unit can re-adjust local level security keys with keys maintained at the terminal within the established security context.

摘要: A processing device on a first server in a distributed file system detects that the first server has rebooted after being out of service for a period of time. The processing device sends a request to a second server to determine whether a file index stored on the second server comprises any entries corresponding to replicas of a directory in the distributed file system. Responsive to receiving an indication that the file index comprises a first entry corresponding to a first replica stored on the first server, the processing device requests a copy of a second replica stored on the second server, wherein the first replica and the second replica are both replicas of the directory, receives the copy of the second replica and modifies the first replica in view of the second replica so that the first replica matches the second replica.

摘要: Systems and methods associated with database transaction replay are described. In one example, a computer-readable medium may store computer-executable instructions. When executed by a computer, the instructions may cause the computer to prevent a database page from being written to a persistent portion of a database. The database page may be prevented from being written while there are uncommitted transactions associated with the database page. The instructions may also cause the computer to detect a system failure associated with the database. In response to the system failure, the instructions may cause the computer to analyze the database to identify a set of transactions that were committed and unwritten to the persistent portion when the system failure occurs. The instructions may cause the computer to then re-perform members of the set of transactions.

摘要: Software receives a data stream for an application running on a distributed streaming platform over a networked cluster of servers. The software converts the data into a plurality of data tuples structured according to a schema. The software repeatedly emits a plurality of the data tuples as a streaming window, which is separated from other streaming windows by a leading control tuple associated with an ordinal identifier for the streaming window. The streaming window is a sequential sequence of tuples that is associated with a recovery policy. Then the software emits a checkpointing tuple after a plurality of streaming windows. The checkpointing tuple causes checkpointing of an instance of an operator for the application when the checkpointing tuple is received by the instance. Each of the operations is executed by one or more processors in real time or near real time rather than offline.

摘要: A method for use in a dispersed storage network operates to select a recovery of selected ones of one or more first sets of encoded data slices in response to detecting a storage error associated with the selected ones of the one or more first sets of encoded data slices; issue requests for a second decode threshold number of encoded data slices of selected ones of one or more second sets of encoded data slices corresponding to the selected ones of the one or more first sets of encoded data slices; decode the second decode threshold number of encoded data slices to produce recovered data in response to receiving the second decode threshold number of encoded data slices; encode the recovered data utilizing first IDA parameters associated with the first IDA to produce one or more rebuilt encoded data slices corresponding to the selected ones of the one or more first sets of encoded data slices; and facilitate storage of the one or more rebuilt encoded data slices.

摘要: Software for a distributed streaming platform receives an application. The application is structured as a directed acyclic graph (DAG) with instances of operators as nodes and streams as edges between nodes. Multiple instances of an operator access a shared database. The software receives a pre-defined hint associated with the application. The pre-defined hint sets a maximum period of time for local caching of a result from a query of the database by each of the multiple instances. The software launches the application by assigning the instances of operators to one or more containers provided by the streaming platform and initiating the streams. Each container is associated with a local cache. The software then receives a request from the application to make a dynamic adjustment that increases the maximum period of time for local caching of a result from a query of the database by each of the multiple instances.

摘要: According to an embodiment, a quantum communication device includes a sift processor, an estimator, a determination unit, and a corrector. The sift processor is configured to acquire sift processing data by referring to a cryptographic key bit string in a predetermined bit string with a reference basis randomly selected from a plurality of bases via a quantum communication channel. The estimator is configured to acquire an estimated error rate of the sift processing data. The determination unit is configured to determine order of the sift processing data in which an error is to be corrected based on the estimated error rate and difference data between a processing speed of error correcting processing and a processing speed of privacy amplification processing. The corrector is configured to acquire one piece of the sift processing data in the order determined by the determination unit, and generate error correcting processing data.
