    摘要: Disclosed is a thermionic emission material coating method for a filament used in a fluorescent display tube. The tungsten wire emerges in a carbonate oxide thermionic emission material in dryable form while rotating it so that the carbonate oxide becomes coated on the circumference of the wire and then dries the tungsten wire while rotating it to have a uniform thickness of coating over its entire circumference, thereby preventing flaking off the thermionic emission material and filament breakage which is caused by the uneven coating of thermionic emission material.

    摘要: A method is disclosed for use in the manufacture of a color cathode ray tube having a shadow mask with a pattern of minute apertures for color selection. A removable film effective to prevent particle occlusion of the apertures is disposed on at least one side of the mask. The film has an extremely small, substantially uniform thickness dimension, a low index of refraction, and is of such high transparency as to exhibit a negligible optical effect during photoscreening operations.

    摘要: A functional film sticking apparatus includes: a separator peeling unit for peeling a separator from a functional film having the separator stuck on the functional film via an adhesive; a functional film sticking unit for sticking the functional film, from which the separator has been peeled by the separator peeling unit, on a panel surface; and a film fixing portion for carrying the functional film at least from the separator peeling unit to the functional film sticking unit while holding the functional film by suction, the film fixing portion being provided with a roller for sticking the functional film. The separator peeling unit is provided with a suction device for sucking, upon peeling the separator from the functional film, the atmosphere at the portion to be peeled and its neighborhood, or is provided with an electrostatic eraser for removing, upon peeling the separator from the functional film, electrostatic charges at the portion to be peeled and its neighborhood. With this apparatus, it is possible to reduce the entrapment of air and foreign matters upon sticking a functional film on a product and hence to improve the quality of the product on which the function film has been stuck.

    摘要: To provide a substrate consisting of carbon or non-metallic materials containing carbon with a layer of a metal having a high melting point, first an undercoat layer is applied to the substrate by plasma spraying in an inert atmosphere. The undercoat layer predominantly consists of rhenium, molybdenum, zirconium, titan, chrome, niobium, tantalum, hafnium, vanadium, platinum, rhodium or iridium. Onto that undercoat layer, a covering layer can be applied, by plasma spraying as well. In order to reduce the thermo-mechanical stress and to improve the adhesion of the undercoat layer on the surface of the substrate, the substrate is preheated prior to applying the undercoat layer. By means of such a method, carbon-containing substrates can be provided with an undercoat layer and, if required, with a covering layer quickly and reliably at low costs.

    摘要: A coating device for coating a cathode-ray tube with a layer has a booth for accommodating a cathode-ray tube to be coated. The booth houses a coating robot with a spray nozzle for spraying a coating solution onto the cathode-ray tube in the booth to coat a layer on the cathode-ray tube. The inner wall surfaces of the booth are lined with a water-containing member which is supplied with water from a water supply pipe connected to the booth. An air-conditioning unit is mounted on the booth for controlling the temperature and humidity in the booth. The cathode-ray tube is introduced into the booth from a conveyor through an opening defined in a wall of the booth and fitted with a selectively closable door.
