Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for transmitting and receiving a broadcast signal including signaling information. One embodiment of the present invention may provide a broadcast signal transmission method comprising the steps of: generating a media stream by encoding media data; generating signaling information signaling the media stream; multiplexing the generated media stream and the signaling information; and transmitting a broadcast signal including the multiplexed media stream and the signaling information. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the signaling information may include meta data on the media stream.

Abstract: A broadcast signal receiver is disclosed. A broadcast signal receiver according to the present invention comprises a synchronization/demodulation module carrying out signal detection and OFDM demodulation on a received broadcast signal; a frame parsing and deinterleaving module parsing and deinterleaving a signal frame of the broadcast signal; a demapping and decoding module converting data of at least one Physical Layer Pipe (PLP) of the broadcast signal into a bit domain and performing FEC decoding on the converted data; and an output processing module receiving data of the at least one PLP and outputting the received data into a data stream.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method of transmitting broadcast signals. The method includes, encoding Data Pipe, DP, data according to a code rate, wherein the encoding further includes Low-Density Parity-Check, LDPC, encoding the DP data, Bit interleaving the LDPC encoded DP data, and mapping the bit interleaved DP data onto constellations; building at least one signal frame by mapping the encoded DP data; and modulating data in the built signal frame by an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing, OFDM, method and transmitting the broadcast signals having the modulated data.

Abstract: A method for transmitting broadcast signals in a transmitter includes encoding data for Physical Layer Pipes (PLPs), mapping the encoded data onto constellations according to modulation types, multi-input multi-output (MIMO) processing the mapped data for the MIMO processing by multiplying a rotation matrix with a pair of symbols of the mapped data and applying a phase rotation matrix to the multiplied symbols, time interleaving the MIMO processed data, building frames by mapping the time interleaved data, frequency-interleaving data in the built frames, modulating the frequency-interleaved data by an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) scheme, and transmitting the broadcast signals including the modulated data. The frames includes signaling information for signaling data in the frames. The signaling information includes information on a PLP identifier.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for transmitting broadcast signals thereof are disclosed. The apparatus for transmitting broadcast signals comprises an encoder encoding service data, a time interleaver interleaving the encoded service data, a mapper mapping the interleaved service data into a plurality of OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex) symbols to build at least one signal frame, a frequency interleaver frequency interleaving data in the at least one signal frame by using a different interleaving-seed which is used for every OFDM symbol pair comprised of two sequential OFDM symbols, wherein the frequency interleaving is performed by using two memories, a modulator modulating the frequency interleaved data by an OFDM scheme and a transmitter transmitting the broadcast signals having the modulated data, wherein an interleaving-seed is generated based on a cyclic shift value and an FFT size of the modulating.
