    Abstract: A brake device for a drivable part, in particular for use for a vehicle flap, in particular in an automobile, includes a drivable load device (11) which can be radially brought into contact with a disc (90) of the drivable part, with a first holding position and a second release position. At least one brake element rests against the periphery (92) of the disc (90) in a frictional manner in the holding position and secures the disc (90) from rotating using a specifiable force. In the release position, the at least one brake element is arranged at a distance from the periphery of the disc (90) and allows a free run of the disc (90), and the load device (11) can be adjusted between the holding position and the release position, preferably by a motor (12). A brake device or a rotating drive with which a drivable part of the drive is secured against a displacement on the basis of the mass of the component to be displaced even when the motor is not being provided with power or is deactivated is achieved in that the first holding position and the second release position are each designed as a metastable holding position.

    Abstract: A mechanism for a covering such as an encasement window or door or awning is provided. The mechanism includes an arm, on which a slot is configured. The slot includes a straight section and an angled section. The arm also includes a hole that is offset from the centerline of the straight section and disposed between the angled section and an end of the arm. A pin shaft is disposed in the hole and held in place by a cover member and a movable member, enabling the arm to rotate about the pin shaft. A rivet pin is disposed in the slot and fixedly connected to a fixed member. When the movable member moves, the arm moves such that the hung sash is unlocked from the fixed frame of the covering, and the angled section engages the rivet pin, causing the arm to rotate to open the covering.

    Abstract: A transmission assembly for converting a garage door operator (GDO) from a ceiling mounted configuration to a jackshaft configuration may include an output coupler for operably coupling a drive tube rotatable to alternately open and close a sectional door, a pinion assembly operably coupled to the output coupler via a flexible coupling member, a releasable coupling assembly, a handle, and a cam operated engagement assembly. The releasable coupling assembly may be operably coupled to a motor output shaft of a GDO motor. The releasable coupling assembly may have an engaged state in which rotation of the motor output shaft is transferred to the pinion assembly and a disengaged state in which the rotation of the motor is not transferred to the pinion assembly. The cam operated engagement assembly may be operably coupled to the handle and the releasable coupling assembly to transition the releasable coupling assembly between the engages state and the disengaged state based on a position of the handle.

    Abstract: An assembly for providing stabilising guidance to a semi-plug aircraft door equipped with an opening/closing mechanism. The door frame (3) is provided with stops (7) at the front and at the rear of the door with its stops (8) bears when it is closed. A door arm (4) links the door (2) to the door frame (3). A guiding connecting rod (6), referred to as a stabilising guiding connecting rod and located on a door edge (2h) extending parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, is mobile, being able to move in translation at one of its ends in relation to the door in the longitudinal direction of the aircraft during the phases of disengaging and re-engaging the stops (7, 8). During the swivelling and swivelling return phases, the stabilising rod (6) is locked to the door by a lever locking mechanism (9) being actuated by a return device.
