Abstract: Described herein is a polymer comprising: interpolymerized units of (i) a fluorinated terminal alkene monomer and (ii) a tertiary amine-containing fluorinated monomer comprising at least one of a vinyl amine, a substituted vinyl amine, an allyl amine, a substituted allyl amine, and combinations thereof; wherein the polymer can be amorphous or semi-crystalline with a melting point no greater than 325° C. Dispersions thereof and methods of making and using the same are also described.

Abstract: A composition of solid particles comprising substantially inorganic, electronically conductive particles and fluoropolymer particles, wherein the fluoropolymer is melt-processable and has a melting point between 100° C. and 325° C. and a melt flow index at 372° C. and at 5 kg load (MFI 372/5) of at least 0.1 and up to 100 g/10 min, and wherein the fluoropolymer particles have a particle size of less than 500 nm and wherein the particles comprising the substantially inorganic, electronically conductive material is present in the form of particles having a particle size of less than 15,000 μm, and methods for producing such compositions and articles containing such compositions.

Abstract: Described herein is a composition comprising (i) a hydrofluorothermoplastic polymer, wherein the hydrofluorothermoplastic polymer is derived from: (a) 50-85 mol % tetrafluoroethene; (b) 2-15 mol % hexafluoropropene; (c) 10-35 mol % vinylidene fluoride; and (d) 0.1 to 5 mol % of a bromine-containing monomer; and (ii) a perhalogenated thermoplastic polymer. Such compositions can be used in multilayer constructions in, for example, fuel hose applications.

Abstract: Described are methods of making a curable fluoropolymer having repeating units derived from vinylidenfluoride (VDF) and at least one perfluorinated monomer selected from hexafluoropropene (HFP), tetrafluoroethene (TFE), a perfluorovinyl ether (PAVE), a perfluoroallylether (PAAVE) or a combination thereof. The method includes polymerizing the monomers in an aqueous medium in a radical reaction containing one or more reaction initiators, one or more chain transfer agent containing one or more halogens selected from iodine, bromine or a combination thereof and one or more non-fluorinated aliphatic polyhydroxy emulsifiers. The polymerization is carried out without adding a fluorinated emulsifier. Also provided are curable fluoropolymers obtainable by such methods and cured fluoropolymers obtainable by curing the curable fluoropolymers, and their applications.
