    摘要: An ignition circuit for a two-stroke engine has a spark plug (2) which is connected via an ignition switch (14) to a voltage source (16). The ignition switch (14) is actuated via a control circuit (15) in order to close the ignition switch (14) in dependence upon the crankshaft angle and the rpm of the engine (1) and to trigger an ignition spark per revolution of the crankshaft (10). For one and the same rpm, the control circuit (15) makes available an ignition time point for the idle case and an ignition time point for the acceleration case. In order to achieve a rapid acceleration from the idle range, the control circuit (15) monitors the idle rpm in order to switch over to an ignition time point for the acceleration case for a pregiven rpm increase. If the control circuit determines an absence of the rpm increase or even an rpm drop after the ignition switchover to the acceleration case, then there is a switch back to the ignition time point for the idle case.

    摘要: An air filter for an internal combustion engine has a housing with an interior chamber. The housing has housing walls at least one of which is in the form of a filter element. One of the housing walls has a suction opening for connecting the air filter to a suction channel of the combustion engine, wherein combustion air flows through the filter element into the interior chamber and from the interior chamber through the suction opening into the combustion engine. Air flow resistance elements are arranged in the interior chamber upstream of the suction opening. The air flow resistance elements are arranged in a first and a second row. The first and second rows are spaced apart from one another in the direction of flow of the combustion air. The air flow resistance elements of the first row of the second row are spaced laterally from one another to form gaps therebetween. The air flow resistance elements of the first row are positioned so as to be substantially aligned with the gaps of the second row.

    摘要: The invention is directed to an ignition circuit for an internal combustion engine in a portable handheld work apparatus wherein a work tool is driven via a clutch. The ignition circuit includes an ignition time point control which connects a spark plug via a switch to a voltage source in order to trigger an ignition spark. The spark plug is mounted in the combustion chamber of the engine. This connection takes place in dependence upon the crankshaft angle and the rpm of the engine. In order to prevent damage to the clutch because of a blocked work tool, a test value counter driven via a rpm gate circuit is provided. The test value counter increments its value in the pregiven rpm window of the gate circuit with each rotation of the crankshaft and the content of the test value counter is compared to a pregiven limit value by a comparator. The output of the comparator activates a rpm-reducing protective circuit and the output of the comparator indicates reaching or exceeding the limit value.

    摘要: The invention is directed to an ignition arrangement for an internal combustion engine of a handheld portable tool such as a chain saw or the like. The engine has a crankshaft and a fan wheel is seated on the crankshaft for rotation therewith. The ignition arrangement includes a permanent magnet. The magnet has two pole shoes and an exciter coil is mounted on the permanent magnet. The permanent magnet equipped in this way is fixedly mounted on the tool to save weight. A relatively light self-supporting annular member with projections is mounted in the fan wheel. The projections of the annular member and the permanent magnet with its pole shoes conjointly define a magnetic circuit. As the projections pass the pole shoes at a minimal spacing therefrom during operation of the engine, the projections alternately open and close the magnetic circuit thereby causing changes in the flux of this circuit. The flux changes cause a voltage to be inducted in the exciter coil which serves to generate the igniting spark via an appropriate electronic circuit.

    摘要: An automatic starting arrangement for a hand-started internal combustion engine is disclosed. Internal combustion engines of this type have a choke flap and a throttle flap positioned one behind the other in the air-intake channel. In order to ensure a reliable starting of the engine independently of manual positioning activities, the invention provides that in the start position the choke flap is coupled with the throttle flap in a position-dependent manner and the choke flap holds the throttle flap in a position between the full-throttle position and the idle position. The choke flap is brought into an at-rest position via an actuating device which is actuable in dependence upon the operating condition of the engine. The choke flap is decoupled from the throttle flap in the at-rest position.

    摘要: An ignition circuit is for an internal combustion engine in a handheld portable work apparatus. A combustion chamber (4) is configured in the cylinder (3) of the engine (1) which is delimited by a piston (5) driving a crankshaft (7). A pole wheel (10) revolves with the crankshaft (7) and is assigned to an induction loop (13). The pole wheel periodically changes the magnetic flux in the induction loop. An ignition capacitor (16) is charged by a charge coil (14) of the induction loop and is discharged via a discharge circuit (15) via an ignition coil (17). The ignition coil is connected to a spark plug (19) projecting into the combustion chamber. For achieving a powerful ignition spark, the discharge of the ignition capacitor is prevented by an rpm evaluation circuit (23) when the rpm curve (30) exhibits an rpm change (Δn) which exceeds a pregiven threshold value.

The engine has an ignition control unit for controlling the ignition timing relative to a crank angle of a crankshaft based on the crankshaft speed and also has a centrifugal clutch driven by the crankshaft that begins to engage when a first engine speed is surpassed and is fully engaged when a second engine speed is reached. The protective control unit is activated within an engine speed range between the first and second engine speeds and monitors a dwell time of the actual engine speed within the engine speed range. When a predetermined dwell time of the actual engine speed is surpassed, the protective control unit intervenes in the combustion process and corrects the engine speed to a value that is outside of the engine speed range.
