    摘要: A multi-view stereo approach generates an inventory of objects located on an object holder. An object may be a sample tube and an object holder may be a tube rack as used in lab automation for healthcare diagnostics. A processor performs 3D tracking of the object holder and the geometric analysis of multiple images generated by a calibrated camera. A homography mapping between images is utilized to warp a second image to a viewpoint of a first image. Plane induced parallax causes a normalized cross-correlation score between the first image and the warped second image of a location on the holder that has an object that is significantly different from a normalized cross-correlation score of a location that has not an object and enables the processor to infer tube inventory and absence or presence of a tube at a location in a rack.

    摘要: Discriminative pretraining technique embodiments are presented that pretrain the hidden layers of a Deep Neural Network (DNN). In general, a one-hidden-layer neural network is trained first using labels discriminatively with error back-propagation (BP). Then, after discarding an output layer in the previous one-hidden-layer neural network, another randomly initialized hidden layer is added on top of the previously trained hidden layer along with a new output layer that represents the targets for classification or recognition. The resulting multiple-hidden-layer DNN is then discriminatively trained using the same strategy, and so on until the desired number of hidden layers is reached. This produces a pretrained DNN. The discriminative pretraining technique embodiments have the advantage of bringing the DNN layer weights close to a good local optimum, while still leaving them in a range with a high gradient so that they can be fine-tuned effectively.

    摘要: A computer assisted method creates accurate CAD/CAM models of custom orthopedic implants is provided. Information about bone geometry is acquired through medical imaging such as CT image scans. The desired bone surface region is extracted as a polygonal mesh after processing the 3D images. A smooth and accurate B-Spline surface is fitted to the polygonal mesh that is thickened to a solid CAD model. A patient-specific customized implant is manufactured from the obtained CAD model. The patient-specific customized implant is implanted in a patient by a surgeon in an operating room. A processor based system to generate a CAD/CAM file of the patient-specific customized implant and a manufacturing system enabled to manufacture the implant from the CAD/CAM file are also disclosed.

    摘要: An object in a hot atmosphere with a temperature greater than 400 F in a gas turbine moves in a 3D space. The movement may include a vibrational movement. The movement includes a rotational movement about an axis and a translational movement along the axis. Images of the object are recorded with a camera, which may be a high-speed camera. The object is provided with a pattern that is tracked in images. Warpings of sub-patches in a reference image of the object are determined to form standard format warped areas. The warpings are applied piece-wise to areas in following images to create corrected images. Standard tracking such as SSD tracking is applied to the piece-wise corrected images to determine a movement of the object. The image correction and object tracking are performed by a processor.

    摘要: An electric motor, especially a brushless PMDC motor, has a stator and a rotor rotatably installed inside of the stator. The stator has a housing with an open end, an end cap fixed to the open end of the housing, a stator core fixed to an inner surface of the housing, and windings wound on the stator core. The rotor includes a plurality of permanent magnetic poles. The housing has a flange bent inwardly from the open end of the housing and abutting against the end cap inwardly and axially to thereby fix the end cap to the housing. The length of the flange measured along the circumferential direction of the housing is greater than half of that of the housing.

    摘要: A transmitter, a base station device, and a method for aligning a signal output from a transmitter are provided. The transmitter is connected to a first antenna, and the first antenna detects a second test signal transmitted by a second antenna that is connected to another transmitter. The transmitter includes: a signal generating unit, which generates a first test signal; a directional coupler, which receives the first test signal and the second test signal; and a signal processing unit, which measures a timing difference between the first test signal and the second test signal, and uses the measured timing difference to control signal generation, so as to align a signal transmission delay between the two transmitters. Thus, closed-loop detection and an adaptive rectification mechanism for transmission signals of multiple transmitters can be implemented, and accuracy of aligning a signal at each transmitting antenna is improved.

A chemical vapor deposition reactor can have a cylindrical chamber that comprises a cylindrical lid support and an annular gas distribution plate.
