摘要: A cannula insertion tool having a needle movable between a retracted position and an extended position. In some embodiments, the needle can be retracted within the periphery of a handle of the insertion tool when not in use to protect the needle. When the needle is needed for surgical use, the needle can be extended at least partially beyond the outer periphery of the handle. The needle can be coupled to a slide movable relative to the handle between the retracted position and the extended position. The slide can be secured in each position to prevent unintentional movement of the slide. A cannula can be positioned on the needle when the needle is in the retracted position, and can be retained upon the needle by a member extending toward the cannula.

摘要: A voltage translator with data buffer includes an input inverter receiving a data input signal at a first voltage level. A level shifting cross-coupled NOR circuit is coupled to the input inverter for translating the data input signal at a second voltage level. An output stage driven by the level shifting cross-coupled NOR circuit for providing a data output signal at the second voltage level. The voltage translator enables improved performance across various power, voltage and temperature (PVT) conditions and reliably reduces or minimizes shoot through current and delay.

摘要: An electrical component has a housing received in a receiving groove, which is confined by opposite lateral walls connected to a groove bottom, formed in a support. A retaining device includes a base extending from one end of the housing and disposed on the groove bottom of the receiving groove, an engaging block confined non-rotatably in the receiving groove and disposed between the base and opposite stop protrusions that are formed respectively on the lateral walls and that cooperate to form a restricted access into the receiving groove, and a fastener extending rotatably through a through hole in the engaging block and coupled rotatably to the base. Operation of the fastener can drive the engaging block to move to an engaging position, where the engaging block abuts against the stop protrusions and where the fastener urges the base toward the groove bottom.

摘要: A decoupling capacitor includes a fixed resistance in series with the capacitor, the resistance formed by contacts connecting a polysilicon layer to metal and a diffusion layer to metal; the contacts being of location and quantity sufficient for limiting defect current while allowing the capacitor to function at high frequency. N pairs of contacts in at least two sets of contacts are separated by a distance K sufficient to achieve a leakage limiting resistance of R and a bandwidth limiting resistance of R/2.

摘要: An apparatus and method for switching redundancy control which provides fast switching from a malfunctioning component to a redundant component with minimum data flow interruption for both transmitted and received data. The redundancy control system having an APS (Automatic Protection Switching) Hub, at least a working and a redundant tributary card, a bridge to provide identical traffic to the working and redundant tributary cards, a working and a redundant STM switching fabric, selectors within the working and redundant STM switching fabrics for selecting the traffic from the working tributary card to further process, a working and a redundant ATM switching fabric, a working and a redundant ATM processor and ATM selectors for selecting traffic needing cell switching from the working STM switching fabric to process further. The system is capable of monitoring itself to detect failures and the APS Hub is outfitted so as to become aware of detected failures and initiate a switch in the appropriate selectors or ATM selectors so as to change the traffic being further processed from the failed working component to the redundant component.
