摘要: Eyewear includes a left temple and a right temple. Each of the temples has a cavity sized to receive an audio device such as a BlueTooth transceiver configured to communicate wirelessly with a remote device like a cell phone or a digital sound device. The BlueTooth transceiver may be placed in the cavity of either temple with the other temple cavity covered with a cover plate. An earphone may be connected to the BlueTooth transceiver through a receptacle. The earphone delivers the audible sound to the user's ear. The receptacle of the BlueTooth transceiver to which the earphone connects is also configured to receive the connector from a charger to charge a rechargeable battery in the BlueTooth transceiver. The eyewear may also be configured with cover plates over the cavity in both of the temples or with an audio device in both cavities to provide audible signals to both ears of the user.

摘要: A composite article is used in commercial and residential decking. The composite article includes a first layer including a thermoplastic resin and a cellulosic fiber. The composite article also includes a second layer including a styrene butadiene copolymer that is disposed in contact with the first layer. The composite article further includes a third layer consisting essentially of styrene acrylonitriles and disposed in contact with the second layer as an outermost layer of the composite article. The thermoplastic resin and cellulosic fiber contribute to shear strength and compressive strength. The styrene butadiene copolymer, as a tie layer, contributes to an ability of the first layer to bond to the third layer. The styrene acrylonitriles contribute to ultraviolet light resistance, moisture resistance, mold resistance, weatherability, and resistance to warping and surface distortion, and allow the composite article to be used in outdoor environments.

摘要: T-cell responses are initiated via contact with MHC/peptide complexes on antigen presenting cells (APCs). The fate of these complexes, however, is unknown. Here, using live APCs expressing MHC class I molecules fused with green-fluorescent protein, we show that peptide-specific T-cell/APC interaction induces clusters of MHC I molecules to congregate within minutes at the contact site; thereafter, these MHC I clusters are acquired by T-cells in small aggregates.,We further demonstrate that acquisition of MHC I by T-cells correlates with TCR down regulation and the APC-derived MHC I molecules are endocytosed and degraded by-T-cells. These data suggest a novel mechanism by which TCR recognition of MHC/peptide complexes can be curtailed by internalization of MHC molecules by T-cells.

摘要: According to the present invention, methods of marking in a substrate comprises placing one or more than one magnet adjacent to a substrate while it is being powder coated or after it is powder coated and while the coating is uncured, thereby orienting a magnetic pigment with the magnet having a desired shape to form a desired marking, followed by heating or curing to form a coating film. In another embodiment, the present invention provides marked powder coated substrates in a variety of shapes comprising one or more than one marking formed by orienting a magnetic pigment or interference pigment in a powder coating or by orienting an interference pigment in a liquid coating. In yet another embodiment, the present invention provides markable powder coating compositions comprising magnetic pigments, as well as powder coating compositions comprising interference pigments, such as color shifting pigments.

摘要: Systems, methods and protocol for assuring separation of aircraft during parallel approaches. The systems, methods and protocol function in cooperation with existing TCAS to facilitate approaches of multiple aircraft on closely-spaced parallel runways. The systems, methods and protocol utilize data transmissions from equipped aircraft to obtain tracking information which is used in separation algorithms to generate alerts to an observer of possible threats. The systems, methods and protocol facilitate parallel approaches to closely-spaced parallel runways under Instrument Approach Procedure.
