Abstract: An automated driving system (ADS) of an autonomous vehicle includes a communication module, a misbehavior detection module, and a processor. The communication module is configured to receive a vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) message including source vehicle data and receive a fusion data message including fusion data from a mobile edge computing (MEC) system including a roadside unit (RSU). The source vehicle data includes a source vehicle location. The fusion data is based on RSU sensed data and on vehicle sensed data received at the RSU from at least one vehicle. The misbehavior detection module is configured to determine whether a source vehicle is disposed at the source vehicle location based on the fusion data. The processor is configured to manage performance of the autonomous vehicle in accordance with the source vehicle data based at least in part on the determination. Abstract: A system for predicting a door opening event of a vehicle includes an identity recognition device associated with an individual occupant profile. The system also includes one or more controllers in electronic communication with the identity recognition device, where the one or more controllers store one or more individual occupant profiles in memory of the one or more controllers that includes historical occupant behavior exhibited by one or more occupants associated with the identity recognition device. The one or more controllers execute instructions to determine a predetermined condition has occurred, where the predetermined condition indicates the vehicle is undergoing a potential engine off event. The one or more controllers determine a door opening event probability value based on at least the gear position probability value and the engine off probability value.

Abstract: An occupant detection system for an interior cabin area of a vehicle includes one or more signal conversion devices including conversion circuitry and a wireless control module including a multi-band transceiver having two or more transceivers. The wireless control module executes instructions to continuously send, by a first transceiver, signals on a first frequency band. The wireless control module executes instructions to receive, by a second transceiver, signals on a second frequency band from a signal conversion device. The wireless control module compares original training symbols from the signals on the first frequency band with training symbols from the signals on the second frequency band to determine a change in value of in one or more channel state information (CSI) parameters, and determines one or more occupants are present within the interior cabin area of the vehicle based on the change in one or more CSI parameters.

Abstract: A system and method to distinguish between a lane change and a turn of a vehicle as an intended movement of the vehicle based on a driver-initiated motion toward an adjacent lane that is adjacent to a lane occupied by the vehicle include obtaining input from one or more sources. The one or more sources include a sensor system or a communication system. The method also includes processing the input from the one or more sources to obtain indirect information that indicates a direction of travel in the lane adjacent or to obtain direct information specific to a location of the vehicle, determining whether the lane change or the turn is more likely to be the intended movement based on the indirect information or the direct information, and modifying an action of a vehicle system based on the determining whether the lane change or the turn is more likely.

Abstract: Embodiments include methods, systems and computer readable storage medium for determining an attack on a vehicle network and an estimated source location of an attacker. The method includes receiving, by a processor, a plurality of messages. The method further includes analyzing, by the processor, each of the plurality of messages to determine that each of the plurality of messages is suspicious. The method further includes determining, by the processor, that an attack is occurring in response to a determination that multiple messages of the plurality of messages are suspicious. The method further includes localizing, by the processor, a source location for the attack using an angle of arrival associated with each of the plurality of suspicious messages to determine a source intersection. The method further includes notifying, by the processor, one or more vehicles of the attack.
