摘要: A process for preparing a low-viscous pasta sauce contained in a container, comprising using 10 to 65% by weight of the water to be used in the formulation of a pasta sauce, 0.5 to 5.5% by weight of a waxy starch, and, if necessary, 0.5 to 3% by weight of wheat starch, based on the total weight of the pasta sauce immediately before being loaded into a container, together with other raw materials for the pasta sauce to prepare a condensed pasta sauce having a viscosity of 1,000 to 20,000 cp at 70.degree. to 90.degree. C., loading the condensed pasta sauce into the container, and loading the remaining water into the container after, simultaneously with, or before the loading of the condensed pasta sauce into the container, followed by a sterilization treatment by heating to make a pasta sauce having a viscosity of 500 cp or less at normal temperatures (25.degree. C.).

摘要: A hemoglobin-encapsulating liposome having encapsulated thererin a hemoglobin solution having added thereto a substrate for an enzymatic reaction which produces reduced-form nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) and/or reduced-form nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH). Irreversible oxidation of hemoglobin with lapse of time is markedly suppressed.

摘要: A multi-focus optical sensing device for use in bar code scanners, photoelectric sensors and the like is disclosed. To extend the range of detection along the optical axis, without increasing the detection time, the focal point of the light beam is caused to move along the optical axis. A control and modulation circuit varies a current I.sub.f which drives an optical semiconductor serving as a light source. This changes the focal distance of a refraction lattice and so causes the focal position of the light beam emitted by light source to scan along the optical axis. This scan is repeated each time a polygonal mirror scans the light beam over the narrowest width 1/n (where n is an integer) of the bar code lines. A processing unit samples and processes the signal from a photodetector unit while the light beam is being scanned along the optical axis.

摘要: A method of constructing the top slab of a nuclear reactor container in which a flange for mounting the top head of the container is prepared separately from the sleeve of the container. When the outside diameter of the flange is greater than the inside diameter of a doughnut-shaped steel; reinforcement structure assembled on the container, the steel reinforcement structure is situated in place and then the flange is welded to the sleeve, thus shortening the construction period. Disclosed also is a nuclear reactor container constructed by this method.

摘要: Two systems of low-pressure core spray appratuses have coolers, and are adapted to supply cooling water to a core spray header provided in a core-surrounding cylindrical shroud in a reactor pressure vessel. Two systems of high-pressure core flooding apparatuses and one system of high-pressure coolant injection apparatus are adapted to supply the cooling water to a region formed between the shroud and reactor pressure vessel. The elevation of the openings, which are in the reactor pressure vessel, of the high-pressure core flooding apparatuses and high-pressure coolant injection apparatus are higher than that of the core spray header. A pipe for returning the cooling water in the reactor pressure vessel to the above-mentioned coolers is connected to either the portion of the interior of the reactor pressure vesssel which is below the core or the portion of the interior of the reactor pressure vessel which is between the walls of the shroud and reactor pressure vessel. The above-mentioned pipe is provided therein with a valve which is adapted to be closed when the nuclear reactor stops being operated in an emergency in which the breakage of a pipe occurs, and to be opened when the nuclear reactor is stopped under normal conditions.

摘要: There is disclosed herein a generator control system for use in a power supply system for vehicles in which a battery and an engine-driven generator are connected in parallel with a load. The total load current fed to the load is detected and the generated voltage level is changed by performing field regulation for the generator in accordance with the detected value. Switching of the generated voltage level of the generator is controlled according to the state of the load applied so as to improve power generation efficiency. Certain parameters, such as battery state, engine speed, auto choke and load state, can be provided as an input or inputs to a voltage regulator for the generator.

摘要: A method of producing a semiconductor device having an isolation region between elements. Each element is surrounded by a field oxide film, and is isolated by the dielectric isolation structure of a groove filled with an insulating material. The field oxide film is formed by selectively oxidizing an epitaxial layer, and the groove extending through the epitaxial layer and a buried layer is formed after the oxidation of the epitaxial layer. After the surface of the groove is covered with an insulating film, e.g., a thermal oxide film created by oxidizing the surface, the groove is filled with insulating filler material.
