    摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and memory device for storing and reading data. In one embodiment, the probe is positioned proximate to an area of a solid electrolyte layer in which the data is to be stored. A voltage difference is created across the solid electrolyte layer by applying a first voltage to a first side of the solid electrolyte layer via a tip of the probe and applying a second voltage to a second side of the solid electrolyte layer via an electrode layer coupled to the solid electrolyte layer. The voltage difference applied across the solid electrolyte layer causes ions from the electrode layer to be introduced into the solid electrolyte layer, creating a lowered resistance in the solid electrolyte layer. The lowered resistance corresponds to a first logical value stored in the solid electrolyte layer.

The electrical conductor are electrically connected to the plurality of electrical contacts of the plurality of chips to electrically interconnect such plurality of chips with portions of the electrical conductor spanning the regions in the fractional portion of the wafer. A connector is provided for electrically connecting the electrical conductor of the package to the electrical interconnect of the printed circuit board.

A voltage range of the set of level shifter stage control signals is higher than a voltage range associated with the input signal. The buffer circuit also includes an output stage coupled to the level shifter stage. The output stage is configured to output, when the buffer enable signal is enabled, the output signal on the buffer output node responsive to the set of level shifter stage control signals. The voltage range of the output signal is lower than the voltage range of the set of level shifter stage control signals. The output stage decouples the buffer output node from the input stage and the level shifter stage when the buffer enable signal is disabled.

Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) chips have a plurality of memory cells (18) arranged in rows and columns. A semiconductor memory includes a bank of sense amplifiers (14) disposed in a first generally rectangular region having a length parallel to said rows, with each sense amplifier (14) in the bank disposed in a sense amplifier region of an associated column (16). A plurality of amplifiers (124 or 126) are driven by at least one driver (140 or 142), each of the plurality of amplifiers disposed between a pair of complementary bit lines (120) and located within the sense amplifier region. The at least one driver shares at least one diffusion region extending transversely to the column direction with at least on other driver such that the number of contacts of the sense amplifier bank is reduced.
