摘要: It is an object of the present invention to provide a television receiver for discriminating a CM broadcast from a received television broadcast and controlling a volume of the CM broadcast without complicating a configuration of a discriminating process of the CM broadcast. The present invention includes a silence detection means, a scene change detection means, a video audio changing point detection means, a first characteristic amount extraction means, a second characteristic amount extraction means, a comparison determining means and a volume control means. The comparison determining means compares the first characteristic amount which is an audio characteristic amount of a television signal before the time when the video audio changing point is detected, and the second characteristic amount which is an audio characteristic amount of a television signal after the time when the video audio changing point is detected, to determine whether a predetermined condition is satisfied or not. The volume control means controls an output level when outputting audio of the television signal on the basis of a result of the comparison determining means.

摘要: A video-image control apparatus enables a client to obtain the details of an object in a displayed video image. For this purpose, when the angle of a camera 1003 is changed in accordance with an instruction from an external device, it is determined whether or not the object (e.g., a copier) is within an image sensing view. If it is determined that the object is within the image sensing view, the current status of the object is obtained by request. Then, an image of a character string indicative of the status information is generated, and combined with the video image. The combined image is transferred via a communication interface unit to the external device.

摘要: When a client control apparatus 108 on a network connects to a camera control apparatus 102 in hyper text transfer protocol and requests the camera control apparatus 102 to transmit a file of its home page, the camera control apparatus 102 transmits a file, to the client control apparatus 108, including a description for causing the client control apparatus 108 to request the camera control apparatus 102 to transmit an applet for performing automatic reception. When the client control apparatus 108 receives this file, transmission of the applet is requested, and the server control apparatus 102 transmits the applet. Then, when transmission of state information is requested, the server control apparatus 102 transmits state information to the client control apparatus 108 only when an event indicative of a change in an angle of a camera occurs; thereby traffic of the network is reduced.

摘要: There is provided an information processing apparatus in which an efficiency of a work that is being executed by a client application during the activation at present doesn't deteriorate, a recording process for recording the contents of the work so that they can be smoothly reconstructed can be executed, and a reproducing process which corresponds to the recording process and is provided to reconstruct the work contents can be efficiently executed. In the recording process, an event message which is generated by an input of the user is recorded into an event message memory. In the reproducing process, the event message is read out from the event message memory, the event message is stored into a transmission message buffer through a reproduction message buffer, and the event message is transmitted from the transmission message buffer to a client application.

摘要: In a manufacturing method of a semiconductor device, first, a first semiconductor layer, a second semiconductor layer, and a p-type third semiconductor layer are sequentially epitaxially grown on a substrate. After that, the third semiconductor layer is selectively removed. Then, a fourth semiconductor layer is epitaxially grown on the second semiconductor layer. Then, a gate electrode is formed on the third semiconductor layer.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a transistor assembly includes the steps of: (a) forming a transistor; (b) polishing a base substrate; and (c) securing the transistor of which the base substrate is polished to a support substrate. The step (a) is a step of forming a first semiconductor layer and a second semiconductor layer on a principle surface of the base substrate. The step (b) is a step of polishing a surface of the base substrate opposite to the principle surface. The step (c) is a step of securing the transistor on the support substrate in the presence of a stress applied on the base substrate in such a direction that a warp of the base substrate is reduced. The base substrate is made of a material different from that of the first semiconductor layer and the second semiconductor layer, and a tensile stress is applied on the second semiconductor layer.

摘要: A light emitting device includes: a light source unit which has a first and a second LED which are connected in parallel and emit lights of different colors, respectively. The lights of the first and the second LED are mixed to provide an emission light of the light source unit when an operating voltage is applied. The light source unit further has a resistor which is connected in series to the first LED to make forward current changing characteristics of the first and the second LED depending on change in the operating voltage to be different from each other, so that a required luminous flux-color temperature property, in which change in a color temperature of the emission light is made to depend on change in a luminous flux of the emission light, is obtained while the first and the second LED are turned on by applying the operating voltage.

摘要: A lighting device is provided in accordance with the present invention having reduced luminance and color unevenness. A plurality of solid-state light emitting elements are mounted on a base substrate. An optical member is further mounted on the substrate and arranged so as to cover light emitting surfaces of the light emitting elements, the optical member having a semicircular or semielliptical cross-sectional surface, and gutter-shaped in a longitudinal direction with respect to the substrate. A wavelength converting member covers the semicircular or semielliptical cross-sectional surface of the optical member, and is excitable by light from the solid-state light emitting elements to thereby emit wavelength-converted light. In various embodiments light diffusion members may be further distributed among the light emitting elements.
