Abstract: In order to obtain a light emitting module with a less unevenness of luminance, provided is a method for manufacturing a light emitting module comprising: preparing a light emitter and a light-transmissive light guide plate, the light emitter comprising a light emitting element, the light guide plate having a first main surface serving as a light emitting surface from which light is emitted outside and a second main surface located opposite to the first main surface and having a concave portion, the concave portion comprising a side surface and a bottom surface that is smaller than an opening of the concave portion in a cross-sectional view; fixing the light emitter to the bottom surface of the concave portion via a bonding member; and forming a wiring at an electrode of the light emitting element.

Abstract: A light emitting device includes: a rectangular substrate, a light emitting element, a reflective member disposed at one or more lateral sides of the light emitting element while being away from therefrom, a light guide member, and a light transmissive member on the light guide member. The reflective member includes one or more first reflective members opposing lateral faces of the light emitting element, and a second reflective member outside the first reflective member. The first reflective members have inner lateral faces opposing each other each having an oblique or curved portion slanted so that a distance therebetween increases towards the light transmissive member from a side close to the substrate. The second reflective member covers outer lateral faces of the light transmissive member and the first reflective members, and an upper face of the second reflective member is flush with an upper face of the light transmissive member.

Abstract: A soluble member is provided on a light emitting surface of a light emitting element. The soluble member is soluble in a solvent. The soluble member has a first surface facing the light emitting surface, a second surface opposite to the first surface in the light emitting direction, and a soluble member outer peripheral side surface provided between the first surface and the second surface. A light-blocking member made of a material which is not soluble in the solvent is provided to cover a light emitting element outer peripheral side surface and the soluble member outer peripheral side surface so that an inner side wall of the light-blocking member contacts the soluble member outer peripheral side surface. The soluble member is removed using the solvent to provide a recess surrounded by the inner side wall of the light-blocking member. A first light-transmissive member is provided in the recess.

Abstract: A light emitting device includes a light emitting element, a frame, a first light-transmissive member, and a second light-transmissive member. The light emitting element includes an element upper surface from which a light is configured to be emitted, an element bottom surface opposite to the element upper surface, and an element lateral surface connecting the element upper surface and the element bottom surface. The frame is provided to surround the light emitting element to be opposite to the element lateral surface. The first light-transmissive member is provided on the element upper surface and the element lateral surface to contact the frame. The first light-transmissive member covers the element upper surface and the element lateral surface. The second light-transmissive member is provided on the first light-transmissive member.
