    摘要: A cutting tool for parting and grooving operations of the kind including a coupling part, which is intended for mounting the cutting tool in a machine tool, and a tool head detachably connected to the coupling part. The tool head includes a basic holder part and, joined to the basic holder part, a blade part, in front portion of which an insert pocket is formed, in which a cutting insert is fastenable. The cutting tool also includes means for supplying cooling agent to the cutting insert. The cooling agent supplying means includes a tube member, which is mounted in a recess, which is transverse to the longitudinal direction of the blade part and arranged in the tool head. The tube member has an inlet for connection to a cooling agent source and an outlet for leading the cooling agent in a direction towards the cutting insert.

    摘要: A tool holder for mounting a cutting insert for chip removing machining includes a head on which is disposed an insert-receiving seat having an insert-support surface. A plate-shaped member is detachably mounted on the head and includes first and second fingers. The fingers include respective first and second side surfaces forming a recess therebetween. The side surfaces are arranged in upstanding relationship with the insert-support surface to form therewith the insert-receiving seat. The first finger includes a through-slot and is flexible, wherein the first side surface is elastically displaceable relative to the second side surface. An intermediate portion of each of the side surfaces includes a recess wherein each of the side surfaces defines a plurality of spaced-apart contact areas. The plate-shaped member and the head include serrations which are in meshing relationship, except at locations which permit the first finger to be elastically deformed relative to the second finger, by an adjusting screw.

    摘要: A holder includes a seat which removably carries a cutting insert for chip removing machining. The seat can be widened by the manual application of a force to enable the insert to be replaced. The force is applied by a manually actuable key which includes a shaft and an expansion mechanism mounted on an end of the shaft. The expansion mechanism includes a plate which is mountable to the holder in a manner enabling a projection pin of the shaft to enter a slot which constitutes an extension of the insert seat. The portion of the pin entering the slot has an out-of-round cross sectional shape. By rotating the shaft relative to the plate, the pin rotates to widen the slot, and thus to widen the seat. Rotation of the shaft relative to the plate is terminated after a predetermined amount of rotation, in response to mutual engagement between stop surfaces disposed on the shaft and the plate, respectively.

    摘要: Reaming tool includes a head and one or more detachable cutting inserts fixed in seats. The seat includes radial, tangential and axial support surfaces, while the cutting insert has a mirror-symmetrical polyhedron shape comprising six limiting surfaces, viz. two chip surfaces and four clearance surfaces, a number of alternately usable identical cutting edges formed in the transitions between the chip and clearance surfaces. The cutting insert has a rhombic cross-sectional shape with four clearance surfaces, which meet each other in pairs at obtuse angles in two opposite corners, and which, along each individual chip surface, form two cutting edges alternately usable by indexing the cutting insert. The seat additionally includes a slope surface forming an obtuse angle with the radial support surface, suitably of the same magnitude as the obtuse angle between the clearance surfaces of the cutting insert. Tool head and reaming insert for the tool are disclosed.
