The method includes, for an application configured to execute on a wireless smart device and that requires access to information regarding an account that does not reside on the wireless smart device, register, at a server having access to the information regarding the account, a first wireless smart device has an account owner device (AOD) for operating in an online mode for obtaining the information regarding the account from the server and for operating in an offline mode for transferring the information regarding the account to at least one additional device via a secure offline data transfer using near field communications (NFC). The method further includes registering, at the server, at least one second wireless smart device as an account sharer device (ASD) for operating in an offline mode for receiving the information regarding the account from the first wireless smart device via the secure offline data transfer using NFC.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a method for the preparation of oligonucleotide microarrays obviating the drawbacks to an extent, such as time consuming complex chemical reactions, preparation of modified supports/oligomer modifying reagents, use of activating/condensing reagent, low signal to noise ratio, poor immobilization and hybridization efficiencies, etc. Further, the prepared arrays can be used to detect single or multiple nucleotide mismatches using hybridization assay.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and computer program products for dynamically controlling a PSTN network element from an IP network element using signaling are disclosed. According to one aspect, a method may include receiving a first SIP message from an IP application server. The first SIP message may identify a call event trigger associated with a subscriber to a circuit switched network. In response to receiving the first SIP message, a first SS7 message identifying the call event trigger and the subscriber may be generated and routed to a circuit switched network node. A second SS7 message may be received that indicates triggering of the call event corresponding to the trigger. A second SIP message indicating the call event may be routed to the IP application server. A third SIP message may be received that specifies a PSTN call control function.

A universal polymer support containing an organic aliphatic molecule of structure ##STR1## having at least a pair of cis-hydroxyl groups where one of the hydroxyl groups is attached to the polymer support through a covalent linkage and the other hydroxyl group is protected by an acid labile group.
Abstract:
A scrap particle sorting system and attendant sorting process employs a conveyor for conveying the randomly shaped particles in a random orientation, a position sensor for determining the advancement of the scrap particles in the direction of conveyance by determining the position of the conveyor belt, an image detector for periodically recording the image of a predefined viewing area through which the scrap particles are conveyed, and an image processor for periodic acquisition and processing of the images. The image processor includes logic for defining each image of the viewing area into a matrix of cells, and for each acquired image, analyzing the digital data corresponding to the image to determine for each cell in the matrix whether the pixels in that cell satisfy a predetermined criteria, and establishing a discriminator signal for each cell in the matrix as a function of that analysis. The system employs an image detector controller for receiving a signal from the conveyor position sensor and sending an activation signal to the image processor at timed intervals to acquire sequential image frames which include each of the scrap particles as they are conveyed past the viewing area, and a separator controller for receiving the discriminator signals from the image processor and for sending a control signal to selectively activate the appropriate portion of the separator to eject desired from undesired particles.
Abstract:
Systems and methods provide secure and wireless intra-vehicular communication. An intra-vehicular communication system has a secured network segment including a plurality of secure zones on a vehicle, the secure zones each having a plurality of node devices. The system also has a single point of security proximate each secure zone on the vehicle providing communication security for a corresponding secure zone, and a public network segment on the vehicle configured to wirelessly transport data traffic between the secure zones.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for suppressing magnetically active surface defects in superconducting quantum circuits are provided. A method includes providing one or more superconducting quantum circuits, and arranging the one or more superconducting quantum circuits in a hermetic enclosure capable of isolating the one or more superconducting circuits from ambient surroundings. The method also includes controlling an environment in the hermetic enclosure to suppress magnetically active surface defects associated with the one or more superconducting quantum circuits. In some aspects, the method further includes introducing an inert gas into the hermetic enclosure to passivate a surface of the one or more superconducting quantum circuits. In other aspects, the method further includes coating a surface of the one or more superconducting circuits with a non-magnetic encapsulation layer. In yet other aspects, the method further includes irradiating the one or more superconducting circuits using ultraviolet light.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and computer readable media for updating sequence and acknowledgment numbers associated with replay packets are disclosed. In one example, a method includes generating, at a sending peer node, a replay packet that includes a payload associated with a capture file packet and accessing, in the sending peer node, a sequence-differential (SEQ-DIFF) list using an original sequence number associated with the replay packet. The method further includes traversing entries in the SEQ-DIFF list, wherein each of the entries includes a sequence number and a payload length differential value, applying, for each traversed entry in the SEQ-DIFF list, the payload length differential value to the original sequence number to determine an updated sequence number for the replay packet, and transmitting, from the sending peer node to a receiving peer node, the replay packet that includes the updated sequence number.

Methods, systems, and computer readable media for selecting and delivering an electronic value certificate to a mobile device are disclosed. According to one aspect, the method includes utilizing a certificate selection device to generate electronic certificate selection information and providing the electronic certificate selection information and associated recipient data to a merchant server. From the merchant server, electronic value certificate data derived from the certificate selection information is received. The method also includes establishing a communications link with a mobile device corresponding to the recipient data. The electronic value certificate data is provisioned on the mobile device over the communications link via over the air (OTA) communications.
