A multi-function cutting tool is disclosed. The multi-function cutting tool includes a cutting insert (200) and a cutter body (300). The cutting insert has an upper surface (201), a lower surface (205), and first and second cutting edge corner parts (210) and (220), which are provided on the upper surface such that the upper surface has a symmetrical structure with respect to a diagonal direction. The cutting insert further has a major cutting edge part (230), a first minor cutting edge part (240), and a lowered cutting edge part (250). The major cutting edge part has a downwardly inclined angle ranging from 3° to 10°, and extends from the first cutting edge corner part towards the corresponding second cutting edge corner part. When seen in the front view of the cutting insert, the major cutting edge is defined by a convex curved line, which has a curvature radius of 1000 mm or more.

Described is an intelligent fast-forward video system that automatically controls a relative play speed of the video based on a complexity of the content reflecting the real story of a video, thereby enabling to carry out a fast-forward viewing for summarizing an entire story of a digital video or moving fast to a major concerning part. The present invention obtains the complexity of the content using information of motion vector, shot, face, text, and audio for an entire video and adaptively controls the play speed for each of the intervals on a fast-forward viewing of the corresponding video on the basis of the obtained complexity of the content. And, in more detail, the present invention plays a complicated story interval relatively slow and a simple and tedious part relatively fast, thereby enabling to provide a user with a summarized story of the corresponding video without viewing the entire video as well as a fast search for a part wanted by the user.

The present invention relates to a program counting circuit and a program word line voltage generating circuit in a flash memory device. The program counting circuit includes a data transmit unit having a plurality of fuses for receiving and transferring data, a counting reset unit for generating a reset signal in order to set the data transferred from the data transmit unit to an initial counting value, and a counting unit for setting the data to the initial counting value depending on the reset signal and sequentially performing a counting operation from the initial counting value set depending on the clock signal. Thus, the circuit can be simply implemented, and the number pf the program and verify operation can be controlled.

A rotary compressor includes a cylinder having a slot, an eccentric shaft disposed in the cylinder, a roller formed around the shaft, a vane inserted into the slot and having grooves on its surface, and a sealing material inserted into the grooves. The sealing material prevents leakage and influx of gas through a gap between the cylinder and the vane, improving the efficiency of a rotary compressor.

An improved tape position and reel rotation detection method for a VCR capable of detecting top and end positions of a tape, a supply reel rotation, and a take-up reel rotation by alternatively performing a tape position detection operation and a reel rotation detection operation, which includes the steps of: a first step which turns off tape position detection light emitting devices and first and second reel rotation detection light emitting devices for a first certain time at an initial stage of a reproducing or recording mode; a second step which turns on the first and second reel rotation detection light emitting devices for a second certain when the first certain time is lapsed, detects the rotation of a take-up reel for a certain time of the second certain time, and detection the rotation of a supply reel for a certain time; a third step which, after the second certain time is lapsed, turns off the first and second reel rotation detection light emitting devices, which are in a turned-on state, for a third certain time; a fourth step which, after the third certain time is lapsed, turns on the tape position light emitting device for a fourth certain time, detects a start position of the tape for a certain time of the fourth certain time, and a detects an end portion of the tape for a certain time; and a fifth step which executes the first through fourth steps after a fourth certain time is lapsed.

A system for detecting and diagnosing a faultive state of an airplane engine, including: at least one vibration sensor attached to an airplane; a reference model database construction unit; and a fault detection and diagnosis unit which estimates a parameter of a model, obtains a test variable and a numerator coefficient value difference of a transfer function between the models, and the covariance of parameter estimation error, and diagnoses the faultive state and the faultive cause of the airplane engine. Accordingly, the present invention can determine the faultive state and the detective cause of the airplane engine using the vibration data of the airplane engine.
