Abstract:
A touch panel includes first and second normally spaced apart substrates. The first substrate includes first spaced apart touch electrodes extended in a first direction and each having a first width (W1). The second substrate includes second spaced apart touch electrodes extended in a different second direction and each having a second width (W2) which is substantially narrower than the first width. One of the substrates can be flexed so that momentary shorting contact is established between corresponding first and second touch electrodes at positions where pressing touch is provided. A combination of interconnect wirings and interrogation circuits are provided for automatically determining where and when the temporary shorting contacts were made, even if plural ones are simultaneously made. The disclosed embodiments include ones where the number of interconnect wirings are reduced.

The lamp socket includes a holding portion mounted on a board, and a terminal portion bent from the holding portion and having a lamp insertion hole into which a lamp is securely inserted, wherein the lamp insertion hole is formed through the terminal portion and has a cross-sectional width gradually decreasing toward a lower portion of the terminal portion.
Abstract:
A capsule-type endoscope is disclosed. Information related to position and movement of the capsule-type endoscope inserted into a body are checked and a frame rate is controlled according to a digestive organ in which the capsule-type endoscope is located based upon the information, so as to capture every digestive organ inside the body by using one capsule-type endoscope. Also, the frame rate can be controlled according to a moving velocity in each digestive organ, thus to reduce unnecessary power consumption, resulting in a decrease of an operation time of the capsule-type endoscope having a limited battery capacity. In addition, an amount of captured images can be reduced by effectively obtaining images according to the moving velocity in each digestive organ and a time taken by a doctor for a medical examination can be shortened.

Abstract:
A method of forming an ion implantation mask includes forming a field area on a semiconductor substrate, forming an amorphous carbon layer on the semiconductor substrate, forming a hard mask layer on the amorphous carbon layer, forming an etching mask pattern on the hard mask layer, and etching the hard mask layer and the amorphous carbon layer to expose the field area through the etching mask pattern, wherein etching the hard mask layer and the amorphous carbon layer forms a hard mask layer pattern and an amorphous carbon layer pattern.
Abstract:
A flat fluorescent lamp includes a first substrate, a second substrate, an external electrode, and a radiating member. The second substrate is combined with the first substrate to form a plurality of discharge spaces. The external electrode is formed on at least one surface of the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein the external electrode extends perpendicularly to the discharge spaces. The radiating member is formed on the external electrode and radiates heat generated from the external electrode. Therefore, the heat generated from the flat fluorescent lamp is radiated to outside the flat fluorescent lamp through the radiating member, reducing pinhole formation and generally improving luminance characteristics of the flat fluorescent lamp.
Abstract:
A display substrate, a method of fabricating the same, and a liquid crystal display apparatus having the same. The display substrate includes a storage electrode extending over first and second areas formed on a substrate, a insulating layer pattern formed on the storage electrode, and first and second pixel electrodes formed on the insulating layer pattern. At least one of the first and second pixel electrodes has at least one recess. The insulating layer pattern has first and second openings formed in the first and second areas corresponding to the storage electrode. Accordingly, electric short circuits between the first and second pixel electrodes is prevented due to the recess or the openings during the manufacturing process for the first and second pixel electrodes.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a semiconductor device may involve providing a first insulation pattern on a substrate including first and second regions. The first insulation pattern may include a first contact hole for exposing the first region. A spacer may be provided on a sidewall of the first insulation pattern. A conductive pattern may be provided in the first contact hole such that a top surface of the conductive pattern is lower than a top surface of the first insulation pattern. A second insulation pattern may be provided on the conductive pattern. The first insulation pattern may be etched using the second insulation pattern and the spacer as a self-aligning mask to form a second contact hole for exposing the second region. A wring may be provided in the second contact hole.
Abstract:
A flat-type fluorescent lamp includes a lamp body having a plurality of discharge spaces emitting a light, first and second external electrodes formed on upper and lower faces of the lamp body, respectively, a conductive clip electrically connecting the first and second external electrodes, and an insulating member covering and insulating the conductive clip. The conductive clip includes a first contact portion contacting the first external electrode, a second contact portion contacting the second external electrode, and a body portion connecting the first and second contact portions. The insulating member includes a recess into which the body portion is inserted. Thus, an electrical defect such as arc discharge between the receiving container and the external conductors may be prevented.
Abstract:
A backlight assembly includes a bottom chassis, a planar fluorescent lamp, a mold and an inverter. The bottom chassis includes a bottom portion and a side portion. The planar fluorescent lamp generates planar-light. The bottom chassis receives the planar fluorescent lamp. The mold fixes the planar fluorescent lamp such that a gap is generated between a portion of the mold and the planar fluorescent lamp to absorb impact between the mold and the planar fluorescent lamp. The inverter generates discharge voltages to drive the planar fluorescent lamp.
