    Abstract: The invention provides an ambient light sensing device which receives at least one visible light image sensed by an image sensor. The ambient light sensing device includes an image sampling unit and an analyzing unit. The image sampling unit divides the visible light image into plural image blocks, extracts at least one sample data in each image block, and generates a comparison data according to a difference between the sample data extracted at different time points. The analyzing unit analyzes the comparison data and generates an output analysis signal accordingly.

    Abstract: The invention provides an ambient light sensing device which receives at least one visible light image sensed by an image sensor. The ambient light sensing device includes an image sampling unit and an analyzing unit.     Abstract: A method of operating an HDR pixel circuit includes: establishing a calibration full-well capacity of a photodiode according to a first predetermined voltage level; over-charging both the photodiode and a floating diffusion node; dissipating the charges of the floating diffusion node and the charges on the photodiode so that the charges on the photodiode are substantially equal to the calibration full-well capacity; transferring the charges on the photodiode to the floating diffusion node; and sensing a voltage on the floating diffusion node to generate a calibration signal related to the calibration full-well capacity.

    Abstract: A proximity sensor includes: a transmitter unit for transmitting a light signal; a receiver unit for receiving the light signal reflected by an object to determine a proximity status of the object; and a housing defining a first enclosed accommodation space for accommodating the receiver unit, wherein the portion of the housing which defines the first enclosed accommodation space has a sealed light passage made of a light-transmissible material such that the receiver unit is capable of receiving the light signal reflected by the object through the light passage. The housing can further include a second enclosed accommodation space for accommodating the transmitter unit.
