摘要: A process for producing an open-cell rigid polyurethane foam involves reacting at least the components of at least one polyisocyanate, a polyol composition, and a cell opening agent. The polyol composition contains at least 30% to 75% by weight of at least one polyether polyol (b-1) having a functionality in the range of 5.0 to 7.9 and containing monomeric units derived from monosaccharides, oligosaccharides, polysaccharides, and/or sugar alcohols; >0% to 69.5% by weight of at least one polyether polyol (b-2) having an OH number in the range of >0 to 250 mg KOH/g; and at least 0.5% by weight of water. The isocyanate index is below 160 and the concentrations in % by weight for (b-1), (b-2), and water are based on the total amount of the components of the polyol composition.

摘要: Foam wall structures and methods for making them are described. The wall structures include a frame, a foam panel overlying a front surface of the frame, and a polyurethane foam layer disposed in a cavity of the wall structure. The polyurethane foam layer has a density, as determined by ASTM D1622-14, of at least 44 kg/m3(2.75 lb/ft3) and exhibits ASTM E84-16 Class A flame spread and smoke development characteristics. The polyurethane foam layer is the cured reaction product of a polyurethane foam-forming composition that includes a polyisocyanate, an aromatic polyester polyol having a functionality of greater than 2.5 and an OH number of at least 300 mg KOH/g, which is present in an amount of at least 50% by weight, based on the total weight of the polyurethane foam-forming composition less the weight of the polyisocyanate, a catalyst, and a blowing agent composition. The blowing agent composition includes water and a hydrofluoroolefin.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a method for preparing a thermoplastic polyurethane having a low glass transition temperature. The process according to the present invention comprises the steps of providing at least one polyol composition (P) comprising a poly-ε-caprolactone polyol (P1), and a second polyol (P2) which is different from the first polyol (P1), and reacting the at least one polyol composition (P) with at least one polyisocyanate (P1) and at least one low molecular weight diol (CE) optionally in the presence of at least one catalyst (CA) and/or at least one additive (AD) to obtain a thermoplastic polyurethane. The present invention is also directed to the thermoplastic polyurethane obtained according to the process of the present invention and the use thereof in extruded articles and injection molded articles.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a method for making a non-isocyanate polyurethane (NIPU) foam, where the method includes decomposing a blowing agent having at least one of an amine carbamate salt and/or an amine bicarbonate salt to form a diamine and CO2 in the presence of a molecule comprising a plurality of cyclic carbonate functional groups and reacting the diamine with at least a portion of the cyclic carbonate functional groups to form the NIPU foam. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the reacting and the decomposing may occur at substantially the same rate.

摘要: Foamable waterborne dispersions which form stable flexible foams under ambient cure conditions are disclosed, said foamable waterborne dispersions comprising: a polyurethane polymer formed from one or more aliphatic or cycloaliphatic polyisocyanate and at least two different polymeric polyol components selected from polyether polyol, polyester polyol, and polycarbonate polyol; wherein the ambient cure conditions include a temperature of from 4° C. to 32° C., and a humidity of 0% relative humidity to 90% relative humidity. Also disclosed are the flexible foams produced from the foamable waterborne dispersions, as well as methods of providing a space filling layer or space filling volume adjacent to or on a surface, said methods comprising applying to said surface a foamed sample of the foamable waterborne dispersions, and allowing the foamed sample of foamable waterborne dispersion to dry under ambient conditions to yield a stable flexible foam.

摘要: A biodegradable foam which includes a polyester-based polyurethane foam and a mixture comprised of a soil-dwelling carbon-digesting bacteria embedded in a carrier compound. The mixture of the soil-dwelling carbon-digesting bacteria is homogenously dispersed throughout the polyester-based polyurethane foam. This biodegradable foam exhibits biodegradation rates higher than a polyester-based polyurethane foam absent the soil-dwelling carbon-digesting bacteria.
