摘要: A method and apparatus for video coding using template-based Intra prediction are disclosed. According to one method, where determining whether to apply the template-based Intra prediction or one or more parameters associated with the template-based Intra prediction depends on the current block size. According to yet another method, the quad-tree plus binary tree (QTBT) structure is used to partition an image or one or more areas of the current image into blocks. If the template-based Intra prediction is used for a current block and the current block is non-square, the width and height of the L-shaped reference pixel line are determined according to width and height of the current block. The L-shaped reference pixel line comprises a top reference pixel segment above the top template and a left reference pixel segment adjacent to a left side of the left template

摘要: Disclosed are a method of encoding a division block in video encoding and a method of decoding a division block in video decoding. An input picture is divided into encoding unit blocks. The encoding unit blocks are divided into sub-blocks. The sub-blocks are encoded by selectively using at least one of intra prediction encoding and inter prediction encoding. A decoding process is performed through a reverse process of the encoding method. When pixel values of an encoding unit block are encoded in video encoding, the flexibility in selecting an encoding mode is increased and the efficiency of encoding is increased.

摘要: An image processing device and method that enable suppression of an increase in the amount of coding of a scaling list. The image processing device sets a coefficient located at the beginning of a quantization matrix by adding a replacement difference coefficient that is a difference between a replacement coefficient used to replace a coefficient located at the beginning of the quantization matrix and the coefficient located at the beginning of the quantization matrix to the coefficient located at the beginning of the quantization matrix; up-converts the set quantization matrix; and dequantizes quantized data using an up-converted quantization matrix in which a coefficient located at the beginning of the up-converted quantization matrix has been replaced with the replacement coefficient. The device and method can be applied to an image processing device.

摘要: A method for decoding an image, according to the present invention, comprises the steps of: receiving image information that corresponds to a block to be decoded; performing entropy-decoding with respect to the image information that is received; deciding a transform skip mode of the block to be decoded from a plurality of transform skip mode candidates, based on the image information that is entropy-decoded; and reverse-transforming the block to be decoded based on the transform skip mode that is decided.

摘要: An image coding method in which a chroma component and a luma component of an input image including one or more transform blocks are transformed to code the input image. The luma component has the same size as the current transform block. The chroma component is smaller than the current transform block. In the method, when the current transform block has a first minimum size, the chroma component is transformed on a basis of a block resulting from binding a plurality of the chroma blocks to has the same size as the luma block, and when the current transform block has a size other than the first minimum size, a CBF flag indicating whether or not coefficients of the chroma component include a non-zero coefficient is not coded.

摘要: The method performed by an apparatus for encoding a current block, includes: generating a predicted block by predicting the current block; generating a residual block of the current block by subtracting the predicted block from the current block; partitioning the residual block into a plurality of subblocks having various sizes, and transforming each of the subblocks by using a transform unit of a size identical to each of the subblocks, to thereby generate transform blocks of the subblocks; quantizing the transform blocks; and encoding transform coefficients of each of the quantized transform blocks.

摘要: Systems and techniques are disclosed for dynamically and automatically selecting an appropriate compression technique and/or compression parameters for digital images in order to reduce or prevent loss of significant information that may negatively impact the utility or usefulness of the digital images. For example, based on various image characteristics associated with a digital image, the system may dynamically compress the image using particular compression techniques and/or by adjusting compression parameters, to maintain significant information of the image. The system may select compression techniques and/or compression parameters based on one or more compression rules, which may be associated with image characteristics, patient characteristics, medical history, etc. Further, the system may, based on the one or more compression rules, compress the image to a maximum degree of compression while maintaining the significant information of the image.

摘要: A video coding or decoding method using inter-image prediction to encode input video data in which each chrominance component has 1/Mth of the horizontal resolution of the luminance component and 1/Nth of the vertical resolution of the luminance component, where M and N are integers equal to 1 or more, comprises: storing one or more images preceding a current image; interpolating a higher resolution version of prediction units of the stored images so that the luminance component of an interpolated prediction unit has a horizontal resolution P times that of the corresponding portion of the stored image and a vertical resolution Q times that of the corresponding portion of the stored image, where P and Q are integers greater than 1; detecting inter-image motion between a current image and the one or more interpolated stored images so as to generate motion vectors between a prediction unit of the current image and areas of the one or more preceding images; and generating a motion compensated prediction of the prediction unit of the current image with respect to an area of an interpolated stored image pointed to by a respective motion vector; in which the interpolating step comprises: applying a xR horizontal and xS vertical interpolation filter to the chrominance components of a stored image to generate an interpolated chrominance prediction unit, where R is equal to (U×M×P) and S is equal to (V×N×Q), U and V being integers equal to 1 or more; and subsampling the interpolated chrominance prediction unit, such that its horizontal resolution is divided by a factor of U and its vertical resolution is divided by a factor of V, thereby resulting in a block of MP×NQ samples.
