Abstract: A thermoplastic acrylic resin is provided. The thermoplastic acrylic resin is a graft copolymer in which a stem polymer is an acrylic resin containing acrylonitrile and another ethylenically unsaturated monomer, and a branch polymer is a polymer composed of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer. The acrylonitrile is contained in an amount of 35 mass % or more and 84.5 mass % or less, the other ethylenically unsaturated monomer is contained in an amount of 15 mass % or more and 64.5 mass % or less, and the polymer composed of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer is contained in an amount of 0.5 mass % or more and 40 mass % or less. Thus, provided are a thermoplastic acrylic resin having improved melt-processability without compromising heat resistance, a method for producing the thermoplastic acrylic resin, a thermoplastic acrylic resin composition, a molded body, an acrylic fiber, and a method for producing the acrylic fiber.

Abstract: An acrylic resin film is provided that may include graft copolymer particles (A) with a multilayer structure and graft copolymer particles (B) with a multilayer structure, wherein the graft copolymer particles (A) may have an average particle size in the range of 20 to 150 nm, the graft copolymer particles (B) may have a larger average particle size than the graft copolymer particles (A). The graft copolymer particles (A) may include a cross-linked elastomer (A1) and a graft polymer layer (A2), the graft polymer layer (A2) being closer to a surface layer than the cross-linked elastomer (A1). Further, a constituent unit may be derived from an acrylate with an alkyl ester moiety having two or more carbon atoms constitutes 8% or less by mass of the graft polymer layer (A2), the graft copolymer particles (B) may contain a cross-linked elastomer (B1).

Abstract: To provide an alkaline developable negative-type photosensitive resin composition from which a cured film that has a high-resolution and low-taper pattern shape and that are excellent in heat resistance and light blocking property can be obtained. A negative-type photosensitive resin composition is characterized by containing an (A1) first resin, a (A2) second resin, a (C) photopolymerization initiator, and a (D) coloring agent, wherein the (A1) first resin is an (A1-1) polyimide and/or an (A1-2) polybenzo-oxazole, and wherein the (A2) second resin is one or more species selected from a (A2-1) polyimide precursor, a (A2-2) polybenzo-oxazole precursor, a (A2-3) polysiloxane, a (A2-4) cardo based resin, and an (A2-5) acrylic resin, and wherein a content ratio of the (A1) first resin in a total of 100 mass % of the (A1) first resin and the (A2) second resin is within the range of 25 to 90 mass %.

Abstract: A multi-part acrylic cold curing composition for metallography moulds to produce a metallography mount is described. The composition has a storage stable solid part and a storage stable liquid part. The parts are operable to form a mixture which polymerises to a solid mass upon mixing of the parts together. The solid part comprises polymer powder and initiator and the liquid part comprises acrylic monomer and optionally activator or accelerator. The initiator is present in an amount effective to polymerize the acrylic monomer component upon being mixed with the liquid part. The composition comprises a cyclic ester side group containing monofunctional acrylic monomer. The composition liquid part may contain a mixture of monofunctional monomer(s) and polyfunctional monomer(s), wherein the polyfunctional monomers comprise between 12 and 22% w/w of the total monomers in the uncured composition. Metallography mounts and processes for producing the mounts are also described.

(1) When a test piece is stretched from a chuck-to-chuck distance of 25 mm to 35 mm at a temperature of 0° C. and a tensile rate of 500 mm/min according to ISO 527-3, a difference (ΔW) between a degree of whiteness of the test piece before and that after stretching is 5 or less. (2) The acrylic resin composition (Y) comprises a rubber-containing polymer (B) comprising 30% by mass or more of an elastic polymer (B1).
