Abstract: A handrail has a thermoplastic body having a generally C-shaped cross section, a stretch inhibitor in the thermoplastic body above a T-shaped slot and a slider fabric layer. The handrail includes first and second end portions, each comprising a forward part extending from an end surface of the end portion and a rear part adjacent the forward part. A method of forming a joint can include: providing cuts to separate a top section of the thermoplastic body from a base section including shoulder portions; for each end portion, removing at least shoulder portions from the forward part thereof, to leave a central portion including a forward part at the slider fabric layer and a layer of thermoplastic; cutting the forward parts to a required shape; and assembling the first and second end portions together to form a spliced joint for moulding.

Abstract: Processes and configurations for subterranean resource extraction are provided. The processes include installing borehole strings, such as by drilling a plurality of boreholes, for example, first and second boreholes, that extend from a surface region into a resource deposit. The first and second boreholes are situated adjacent to each other. Portions of the first and second boreholes laterally extend in a penannularly fashion and connect terminally at a nodal space situated within the resource deposit. Carrier fluid is injected from the surface along fluid paths defined by the boreholes to in situ leach resource materials from the resource deposit into the carrier fluid, and carrier fluid containing the resource materials is brought back to surface for resource extraction.

Abstract: A method of recovering a population of extracellular vesicles from a biological sample comprising extracellular vesicles and contaminants is described. In one embodiment, the method comprises: a) removing contaminants from the sample, wherein the contaminants are relatively larger or more dense than the extracellular vesicles; b) contacting the sample of step a) with a plurality of binding compositions, each binding composition having first and/or second moieties capable of binding a recognition motif of the target entities under conditions to allow complexing of the extracellular vesicles with the plurality of binding compositions to form a complexed population of extracellular vesicles, the complexed population of extracellular vesicles having an increased volume and/or higher density in comparison to the extracellular vesicles in individual form; and c) recovering the complexed population of extracellular vesicles.

Abstract: The present disclosure concerns an aluminosilicate having a Blaine fineness of about 500 m2/kg to about 3000 m2/kg and/or a specific surface area of about 4 m2/g to about 20 m2/g, as well as the uses thereof. The process comprises: roasting a spodumene concentrate in an acid medium; leaching the acidic roast spodumene concentrate so as to obtain a mixture comprising a solid comprising the aluminosilicate and a leachate; and separating the aluminosilicate from the leachate in an acid medium, wherein said aluminosilicate contains a calcium concentration of less than about 5%.

Abstract: A blade assembly includes a blade support frame, and a plurality of V-shaped blades removably fastened to the blade support frame. The blade support frame has a food flow path extending downstream, and a plurality of blade mounts distributed around the food flow path. Each V-shaped blade has a first end portion connected to one of the blade mounts, a second end portion connected to another of the blade mounts, and an intermediate portion extending from the first end portion to the second end portion into the food flow path. At the first and second end portions of each V-shaped blade, a respective one of the blade mounts overlies both the upstream edge and the downstream edge of the V-shaped blade to inhibit the V-shaped blade from rotating when impacted by food.
