An updating system comprises a registering module, for registering database updating requests required to be executed by an applicant of the application system during an application session, when a same data registered and updated previously is required during a same application session, the same data is acquired from a modified data in a recording module; a recording module, for recording the registered database updating requests and the modified data required for submitting to the database; a submitting module, for submitting the multiple database updating requests when the application session is completed; a merging module, for merging the database updating requests, when multiple times of updating are executed for different fields of a same data by the applicant in the application session, the database updating requests of the same data are merged into one database updating request; and an updating module, for starting database transaction and completing the database update.

A backlight module includes a light guide plate and a light emitting unit. The light guide plate has a first side surface, a second side surface, and a third side surface. The first side surface is located opposite to the second side surface. A height of the first side surface is greater than a height of the second side surface. The third side surface is located between the first side surface and the second side surface and has a light entrance surface and a light exit surface. The light entrance surface is connected to the first side surface and the light exit surface. The light exit surface is connected to the second side surface. An included angle is formed between the light entrance surface and the light exit surface. The light emitting unit is disposed on the light entrance surface.

A standard cell semiconductor integrated circuit device design provides a standard cell semiconductor device that includes first standard cells and user-defined target standard cells which consume more power or include other operational characteristics that differ from the operational characteristics of the first standard cells. The standard cells are routed to ground and power wires using one power rail and the target cells are routed to the ground and power lines using the first power rail and a second power rail to alleviate electromigration in either of the power rails. The two power rails include an upper power rail and a lower power rail. An intermediate conductive layer may be disposed between the upper and lower power rails to provide for signal routing by lateral interconnection between cells.
Abstract:
Utility meter readings generated at low sampling rates are disaggregated to identify consumer usage activities. Time intervals between readings can include a plurality of consumer usage activities. By employing a model which recognizes associations among consumer usage activities, effective disaggregation is possible using only aggregated consumption data and interval start times. Consumers and utility managers can design and assess conservation programs based on the disaggregated consumption usage activities.
Abstract:
A light emitting diode chip, a light emitting diode package structure and a method for forming the same are provided. The light emitting diode chip includes a bonding layer, which has a plurality of voids, or a minimum horizontal distance between a surrounding boundary of the light emitting diode chip and the bonding layer is larger than 0. The light emitting diode chip, the light emitting diode package structure and the method may improve the product yields and enhance the light emitting efficiency.

Provided are electronegative-ion-aided methods and apparatus to achieve reduction of carbon dioxide gas into useful products. In one embodiment, using different methods of discharge, the electronegative gases forms non-equilibrium electronegative ions, so that carbon dioxide reduction occurs for the production of organic compounds. When carbon dioxide is introduced into the container containing at least one electronegative gas, such as water, ammonia, bromine or iodine vapor, it reacts to form organic compounds, such as ethanol, methanol, and oxalic acid in the case of water, urea in the case of ammonia, and tetraiodomethane in the case of iodine.

An illumination device including a base, a heat dissipation member, at least one flexible printed circuit board (FPC), and a plurality of light-emitting elements is provided. The heat dissipation member disposed on the base has a central axis, a plurality of holding curvy surfaces and a plurality of heat dissipation channels extending along the central axis, wherein the holding curvy surfaces and the heat dissipation channels are staggered and arranged about the central axis, and each of the holding curvy surfaces radially extends along the central axis. The flexible printed circuit board is disposed on the holding curvy surfaces. The light-emitting elements are disposed on the flexible printed circuit board. An assembling method of the illumination device is also provided.

A distributed de-duplication system and a processing method thereof are described. A client runs a de-duplication procedure on an input file to generate a partitioned data block and a corresponding fingerprint eigenvalue. The client sends an inquiry request having the fingerprint eigenvalue to a dispatch server. The dispatch server records a storage location of the partitioned data block. The dispatch server forwards the inquiry request to the corresponding dedup. engine according to the fingerprint eigenvalue. The dedup. engine judges whether the fingerprint eigenvalue already exists. If the fingerprint eigenvalue does not exist, the dedup. engine stores a new partitioned data block to a storage server according to a new fingerprint eigenvalue.
Abstract:
A method of a mobile station receiving data packets from a serving base station via a multicast or broadcast connection in a wireless network is provided for performing a handover from the serving base station to a target base station. The method comprises, at the level of the mobile station, the steps of: upon the detection of the quantity of buffered data packets in the mobile station being lower than a first threshold value, establishing a unicast connection with the serving base station to receive data packets from the serving base station; and upon detection of the level of buffered data packets reaching the predetermined threshold level, performing a handover from the serving base station to the target base station. According to the invention, a seamless handover of a mobile station in a wireless network providing Multicast and Broadcast Service (MBS service) can be achieved to prevent the MBS service interruption during the handover.
