Abstract:
A method of coating the surface of a metal substrate includes a) applying a first composition on the surface of a metal substrate, the first composition being a solution comprising a liquid medium including sol-gel precursors of alcoxysilane type or of metallo-organic type; b) subjecting the first composition to first heat treatment to form an anchor layer on the metal substrate in which the sol-gel precursors are bonded to the metal substrate, a first temperature being imposed during the first heat treatment that is sufficient to eliminate all or part of the liquid medium and to encourage the bonding of the sol-gel precursors to the metal substrate; and c) applying a second composition on the anchor layer. The second composition includes coating compounds to obtain a coating on the anchor layer by forming bonds between the sol-gel precursors and the coating compounds.

Aircraft undercarriage leg including an axle (3) that bears at least one wheel (4), the undercarriage leg being equipped with a unit (6) for driving rotation of the wheel, wherein the drive unit is rigidly fixed to the axle and a deformable support (12) extends between a cantilevered portion of the drive unit and a portion of the undercarriage leg not including the axle to support the cantilevered portion of the drive unit.
Abstract:
The invention provides a control box for selectively delivering orders to receivers (8, 12), the control box comprising: a shaft (14) mounted to turn about an axis of rotation (X), while being capable of sliding along said axis (X) between a rest position towards which it is urged by return means (24), and an active position; order delivery means (16, 11) co-operating with the shaft (14) to deliver orders as a function of the angular position of the shaft (14); rotary drive means (15) for causing the shaft to turn; and safety actuation means (23) for causing the shaft to slide from the rest position in which anti-rotation means (27, 28) prevent the shaft from turning to the active position in which the anti-rotation means (27, 28) leave the shaft free to turn under drive from the rotary drive means (15).
Abstract:
A method of managing the braking of an aircraft, the aircraft having a plurality of wheels R1, . . . , R12, each fitted with a brake F1, . . . , F12 adapted to generate a braking force in response to brake pedals 5 being depressed. The management method comprising the steps of: distributing the wheels fitted with respective brakes in at least two distinct groups G1, G2, G3, G′1, G′2, G′3; allocating respective relationships to each of the groups of wheels for determining how braking force varies as a function of the depression of the brake pedals; and modifying the distribution of the wheels in response to a predetermined event occurring.
